everyone feel FREE to offer your laptops, don't be shy!

Battery life is as brand new, bought new battery off Ebay from HK about 2 weeks ago, as original was dead and havent even drained as simply tested to make sure it was working.

Cosmetically its A1 - will try to get some pics up tomorrow am.

I think i got Vista Lite on it so its fast, boots faster than my CoreDuo with "bloaty" ultimate.
but its still not a core when you do any processing, then again Ive not used it much!!

ok i think we have a deal, can i send money through paypal? What will be the total cost including shipping. And i think the price of £150 excluding shipping is a bit too much.
#10
As mentioned I have a buyer potentially on the weekend, I would rather not have hassle of Ebay/Paypal/Haggling/Delivery etc. So I thought Id offer it on here at a bargain price as it is for a quick sale.

If you wish to pay by Paypal then you will need to add on % for fees Paypal charge?

The price of £150 was for cash excluding delivery as my preferred option is for you to collect.
If you would like me to post then there will be additional cost of P+P, paypal fee etc. I would rather prefer a collection as its less hassle for me (I hate hassle!).

re the price, Im sure you can check out Ebay as these laptops are going for around £190-200 excluding delivery. If you are genuinely interested then please advise before the weekend as this will probably be sold (and I will be minus a hand) by then for £150.

I have highlighted in red square 3 x faint scratches which are not visible until held to light, the longest is about 6" across in a straight line. The plastic is not scored.

Well delivery through parcel2go.com is around £7 and your selling the laptop for £150, so i can do £157 including paypal fees. And i can buy it today.
#14
Sorry, price is £150 + P+P + Paypal fees, or save yourself some money and collect im in Birmingham.
#15
there's no paypal fees if you choose the 'gift' option... so £157 would do it
banned#16
ok i pm'd you scimitar. Im in London so i couldn't pick it up. But i should be able to send it to you as a paypal gift and you could send it to me through parcel2go.com
#17
Sorry been away, however as a "Gift" I get no cover fromPaypal in case of chargebacks?

askfareed I got the funds you sent thanks, however am concerned and would appreciate someone to clarify this. Ive always dealt with Paypal Officially and been covered where I needed assist.
#18
I can reverse funds back to you and you can resend amount with the paypal Fee included and your address details etc in the payment to ensure security for us both.

Ive not used "Gift" before (which reading between the lines means I have no security against chargeback) and for something of this value I would wish to be 100% safe without further hassle.

Thanks
banned#19
oh dude i need this urgently so im taking it that you haven't sent it yet.
banned#20
there is no chargebacks or anything like that if anything there's less protection for me.
#21
Sorry mate, Not saying this particular payment is iffy, but each time i read more about "gifts" and the risks of upto 60days chargebacks I can do without the risk.

Im sure you wouldnt want any risk either, therefore we have two options a) paypal inc fees as originally discussed. b) not continue with transaction.

I have refunded your monies you have sent as I dont feel comfortable holding someone elses money without shipping etc.

Please advise.

thanks
banned#22
ok well how much do you want in total then?
banned#23
it says in my account the money you sent is on temporary hold and the status is placed.
#24
At that amount - not using GIFT is a must. Seller can run off with the money and PayPal won't give a **** about it.

Dear XXXXXXXXXX,

You have sent a full or partial refund to XXXXXXXX XXXXX ("][email protected]).

It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in the Recent Activity list on your Account Overview.
Message to Buyer:
Sorry, due to concerns re chargebacks etc.
I would prefer to conduct officially with Paypal fees to ensure security for us both.

As I understand it, using Gift is a risk for both seller and buyer, seller could potentially run off with monies- however all buyer have credit card protection(if paying with funds via CC).
There is greater risk for the seller as a dodgy buyer could receive item and claim chargeback at any point upto 60 days later!.

The buyer is then out of pocket and minus their item which they wanted to sell in the first instance..

askfareed, Unsure what you mean re status with Paypal, please liaise with them as I sent as a complete refund.

For the total amounts, please see below

£150 for laptop
£24.45 for std delivery from parcel2go; (this is £9.40 for delivery and £12.50 for upto £200 compensation(the std cover provides only £50, if you want the £7.99 service with £50 cover then that is at your risk with no comeback to me).

£175 total price exc. £6.15 Paypal Fees
£181.15 Grand total. (includes laptop, paypal fee and P+P).

If you want to use an alternate delivery service then please advise on which one you want me to use. Weight will be 3kg, dimension of box will be 17x38x33(cm). Insurance required to cover us both for value.

Ok i want the £150 + the £7.99 service + paypal fees. I have received lots of stuff through the standard service with no problem. So i guess the paypal fees are less as the delivery will be less, so one more final time just tell me the total.
#28
If being sent via the cheap £7.99 insured for £50 service make sure you pack extra welll - I sent a PC and they bust the front of it.

why didnt you just do paypal gift
banned#30
i did, but the seller says it's not safe, he stated the reasons above.
#32
gone to pm now to sort out payment etc.
banned#34
scimitar can you reply to my pm regarding the payment.
banned#35
He took to long to respond, not interested anymore as i needed the laptop soon.
#36
I saw no reason to respond, we had agreed a price and then you pm'd me wanting to haggle and lower the agreed price with tales of sending laptop to Afghanistan!

Sounds too dodgy and way too much hassle for me, good luck with wherever you find someone who wants to sell you a bargain!
