You should have posted a few days ago, I just picked up a second hand Toro for £71.00 for the in-laws, the guy had another one for sale but I think it's gone. I was getting fed up of taking my MTD Yardman.
What type are you looking for? Do you have any qualms with using ebay?
I have a Mountfield in the garden that may need some attention. Could be good for spares.

Have had a look on ebay the only problem is that the ones that look any good are miles and miles away up north for collection only,i am willing to collect but not that far. i really also want one that is working and not for spares unfortunalty work does not leave me time to tinker around, do you know what the problem is with the one you have ? if it is something simple i could be intrested and if so how much do you want for it.
but i am really looking for one that is working , I am looking for a resonably good one with a 18,19 or 20 inch cut and willing to pay up to £70.00 for a reasonable make, not one of these red devil things dont mind if it not self propeled ..

Funny you should mention the Red Devil, I burnt one out within a month, that's sitting at the bottom of my garden.
The Mountfield one needs a new Sparkplug and a bag, but I'll check it out on Sunday.
I travelled from Ipswich to Ashford (I had to go there on business anyway) to pick up the Toro, it's a beast, but not as good as the 6.5hp MTD.
I'll have a look at the Mountfield on Sunday and get back to you if you haven't found one by then.

Not far from Ipswich.
I'll check on Sunday, but I think it's a 21". It's not been used for ages so may not work, but I'll have a look later.

Nah, to be honest, I make a living from selling, that is just one of my accounts. ;-)
It is a monster, could do with a service but does the job and does it well.

The one on the left is for the choke and to turn it off. The one on the right is for the speed of either the drive or blade. I'm not sure and it does not seem to change pass number one. You can idle it then move it forward and it moves at a very good walking pace. I put loads of WD40 down the cable, but I cannot tell the difference between speed one, two or three.
It used to have a key start, but there is no battery, so it takes one or two pulls of the cord.
I used it myself twice and it was comparable with my MTD Yardman, My MTD is the Monster, it's a Yank import with a Kawasaki 6.5HP engine that has just been repaired at a cost of £80.

Toro is one of the best Petrol Lawnmowers you can get, I would have bought one instead of my MTD but I got offered a really good deal on it.
Mountfield age well, have you had it serviced?

That's it, if you want anymore let me know.
I'm looking for £80.00 collection or I could deliver for 15p per mile, minimum £10.00. I also need to go to Kings Lynn one day this week so I could meet you up there if that helps.
This will be on ebay on Thursday, until then it's yours if you are interested.

Thanks for the pics

I am having a look at a couple tomorrow,
I will not be up to kings lynn till next Mon/tues
but will let you know tomorrow if i want it if thats ok
