My son (13) is in a half leg cast at the moment and just wondered if anyone had one of the covers to go over it while he baths to stop it getting wet.Bit random I know, but worth asking so let me know if you have one and how much, thanks.

Son's just out of cast for a broken limb... again! We found that a bin liner and masking tape works just as well as long as broken limb isn't submerged in bath (not adviised by the hospital even with the protectors you can purchase from them)

ive been in alot of casts from legs to wrists and the best thing ive used is a bin bag and electrical tape.

Its looks daft but hey what the hell....

P.S. Dont go using rulers or bamboo sticks as scratchers!! they get lost easy!!

Not sure if this is too late but you can request one from your doctor on a prescription. My wife had her leg in plaster for 3 months and it they supplied one. Might be different in England though.

Hope you don't ned this advice - but - next time smile at the technician that puts the plaster on and explain how you are going on holiday soon.

They may well put a waterproof one on for you.

Other than that stick with the bin bag.
