There were a few in the AVForums Home Cinema classifieds over the last few days - other than that you could try ripcaster, but you'll have to go over your asking price...

Thanks for that mate I'll have a look. What do you know of that company I don't live too far from them so could probably go to the store if they have one.

I've not used them myself - got my Popcorn through the official Popcorn website last March - but they seem reasonably priced. I came across them looking for a NAS. There is a thread on AVForums, seems to have a good reputation, but they are an AV Forum affiliate.

Given there has been some rumours of quality issues with the A110 it would be my first choice rather than going through the US Web site!

Couple of good sites to have a look at are MPCClub and NetworkMediaTank

I just had the 110 model delivered from Advanced MP3 Players. Go through Quidco (-£7.40 - tracked) and add the code HotUkDeals code for 5% discount. They are based in Scotland deliver through Fedex and take Paypal.
I haven't set it up yet as it's a birthday present but I am looking forward to my new gadget!

I have used Advanced Mp3 players before. I bought a Waterproof TV that actually arrived with a slight fault. They refunded me no problems at all and paid the return postage costs. Just a heads up as personally I am very wary of ordering from a fairly unknown company so at least you know you can trust them.

At the time of ordering you were put on a waiting list - they are released in batches and you'll be given a provisional date as to when they will be available. It took about a month from end to end - they are despatched from China by DHL ($45), its well packaged so there is nothing to worry about there.

It terms of cost - DHL will bill you for the customs/VAT charges - so 15% - plus a DHL handling fee which was £1.75 at the time (March 08).

At the time the exchange rate was $2 = £1, so it came in at about £130.

As a quick estimate now, you're looking at
Popcorn Hour A110 $215
P + P $45
Approximately $40 for VAT/Customs/Handling etc

So around $300/£200 - about the same price as ordering one from one of the merchants mentioned in this post! Plus, if anything goes wrong.... at least a UK merchant will save on P & P charges!

expansys have it but out of stock at £186 delivered, plus use the £10 off voucher code available that makes it £176 [check quidco if they are on there]....

I've posted one for sale £180 delivered with a 80 Gb laptop drive which makes it run cool and silent, or £150 for it without the drive.

Boxed with all leads.
