I see this in Game the other day for £5, I could pick it up for you and post it?

Action Replay Max??? Mine never required a memcard.

I bought mine from Argos for £9.99

cant have been an action replay because pretty much all the action replays for ps2 you had to put in your cd and ar memory card to be able to load the cheats.

rediron, it would depend on when you could get it and if it was still there.

Well I would go and get it on Monday, they had more than one in so i'm sure they will still have some.

Actually the later versions was cd only and saved extra codes to a sony memory card as the old versions werent compatable with the slimline

the later versions are but im talking about the action replay v2 and the action replay max, both had memory cards. theres new versions now come with a pen stick but i prefer the older versions. can just leave them in the 2nd memory card slot and leave them there.

Im talking about ARmax the pen drive version is the same as the memory card or non memory card version

The usb pen can be used to store codes, or a datel memory card or a sony one

Its still ARmax

either way i still prefer the memory card version, ive seen the usb pen version and it sticks out more which with my kids, they would be tempted to pull it out, the memory card versions dont stand out as much,

No problems, just send me a PM if you want me to have a look for you, it's a brand new one by the way

#14

What im saying is they are all the same, its not a seperate version i.e any discs made after they stopped the adaptor that plugs into the ps2 work, it just saves to whatever is in the slot, i,e if you buy the usb pen one but dont have the usb pen in, it just saves to a regualr memory card be it a official one or not, theres not a usb version, memory card version and adaptor version they are all the same one.
#16
if that was the case i wouldnt be needing to buy this again, i have the action replay max, i can put the disc in and load it fine, but wont let me do anything else as it says please insert your ar hardware so i cant use it with out the ar memory card, it does this even if i have my normal memory card in.

anyway bump still looking.

Like I say its the newer versions of the software released after the slim ps2 came out as the old versions werent compatable.

The newer versions you can use without a memory card, usb pen and armax adaptor.

You can have nothing in the ports apart from the controller and it will load.
#18
right but at stated im looking for the ar v2 or ar max that comes with the memory card as i already have the discs so im wanting to get one of these versions again so i have a spare set of discs.

A word of warning the V2 is shoddy, I had that before I went to max, it doesnt work with later games after abou 2003 and even then if the version of software that came out before the codes werent compatable with earlier versions.

Armax id say is the best but its finding a stick version

I do have a new version I could sell for like £5 which doesnt need the stick but depends if you want it.

the reason im after ar v2 or max is because i originally had the arv2 but brought a max upgrade disc which worked with the arv2 memory card, i know if i buy either version the memory card will work either way.

i admit i really dont know much about how the newer versions work, i moved onto the xbox shortly after getting the max versions and bought the action replay for the xbox and only just picked up a ps2 again a few weeks ago and noticed my memory card wasnt in the box, so i havent used any newer versions for the ps2, im guessing it works the exact same way as the one i have but doesnt require a memory card but has the same function for adding your own games and cheats etc? if thats the case id would be interested, only want it for afew games ive picked up and mainly for ffx to unlock the language from the beginning and gill etc.

Yes, only difference is it saves to the ps2 memory card instead of the armax adaptor if not inserted..

Takes up a tiny amount of space.

In fact theres an easier way but a bit confusing, download the latest codelist from codejunkies and then use maxconvert software to just delete the codes you dont want then put them on a pen drive and go into the memory software on the ARmax and transfer it

Armax is just like the older versions except it also lets you play ps2 converted divx and has a built in mega drive emulator etc.
#22
ok well in that case im really interested, so what are you looking for it including postage cost and paypal fees?
#23
Just £5 but if poss send gift payment so I dont get fees.

As it wont cost much to send, just will get a thin bubble envelope(of which I have spares)

Then send tommorow if I get a chance as im going out for the day(but wont get to my destination to 4.30)
#24
