I require a PS2 with those darned screw holes on the back, to fit a Joytech LCD screen to it.
I'll pay top dollar for one in excellent condition boxed with all inc. accessories. £70 all in?
I think that the screen attaches to the 75003 model, please correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm currently looking for a chipped slimline PS2 and I've been a bit conned - I was offered a faulty, chipped slimline which I bought because I knew I could fix it. So I have fixed it, but the problem is - there's no chip in it! There obviously has been, because I can see the remains of the solder, but the guy must have removed the chip before selling it to me, even though he said he was selling it direct because he couldn't put it on eBay because of the chip.

Anyway, the upshot is - I've ended up with a working slimline that I don't want. The model number is SCPH 70003, I'm not sure if that will meet your needs as I'm not sure how you would fit an LCD screen to it. Could you post a link to a website that shows how this is done so that I know what I'm looking for?

I have a chipped fattie in silver. 2 original controllers and two 8mb memory cards. Apparently according to people on here the fattie ps2 are better for chipping too.

Hi there - I have a Ps2 slimline with screen already attached. Like new condition and with a pile of games to boot. Not used now that there are 3 x NDSs in the house! I'll list this sometime over the next few days, so keep an eye out if interested. I might split though and sell the PS2 w/out the screen and list the screen separately - let me know if interested.

EDIT: In case the above not clear, it is the model with the screw-holes and it is also a Joytech monitor that I have attached to it. And I also have all original accessories for the PS2, plus an extra joystick bought separately.

EDIT2: In fact, I WILL sell separately as long as my son agrees when he comes back from school today. He occasionally used it but hasn't turned it on since he got a DS. Model no. and pictures to follow if interested. I will sell the screen (about 4 months old, perfect cond., with warranty) and games separately. Too busy today to list so will do this over next few days.

It needs to have insets for screws on left and right at the back. These are for third party screen, the one that Sony don't want you to be using when you could easily go and get a PSP for portable gaming :x I believe that all 70003s have them.
That is my guess why they got rid of the screw insets. Sony suck.

Marshalka, not really interested in a fat one. Sorry.
Reddragon, the soldered one is a bit off putting. Again, not really for me. Thanks anyway.

Interested in posts #4 & 5. Pics available? Thanks.

Above a picture of mine with the screen. I can get more detailed pictures if needed to show all the leads, etc.

Can sell the console to scribbles if he's interested and can take offers on the monitor from others, but please don't hijack his thread! Also have a collection of games that can be part and parcel of any deal, see my thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/133178/fs-ps2-games-playstation-2-games

They are:

GTA: Vice City
Transformers
Sonic Mega Collection
GTA III
Riding spirits
The incredibles
Brave: the search for...
PJ's King KOng
London racer: world challenge
Spider-Man 2
Scooby Doo! Night of 1000 frights
Singstar popworlds
Singstar rocks

Also have the singstar mics etc
and a dancemat boxed with all accessories, and I think there are at least a couple more games but need to look for them later.

I've got another one on the way that just needs a new laser if you're interested. (I'll be fitting the new laser before selling it on)

Would you be prepared to bundle in the two GTAs with the PS2 Liddle? :)
And what is your best price for the bundle, inc.p+p? I just want something to compare and evaluate with mostwanted's PS2.
Thanks.

Yes, happy to include those two GTA games. I'd like to get £70 (delivered by courier) if you think that's ok.

Dinner calls - will be back in 30 mins or so.

EDIT - price mistake, I meant to put in your original asking price.

apols for photo quality

EDIT: offline for an hour or two, maybe more.

@Liddle, I assume it comes with the Max memory card? I'll decide between the two when mostwanted gets back to me, or by 3pm tomorrow, whichever is the sooner.

@mostwanted,can you beat £70 all in? If you can beat liddle's offer enough to swing me, then i'll go for yours with no games after seeing pic of it working. If not, then i'll pay the £70 for the other one with the gta games and the Max card.

I just want to ask a question of both consoles, I assume that neither has been opened up? I just want to clarify on that. Thanks.

:-I we cool yeh?

Mine has never been opened - wouldn't know how and wouldn't care to either.

And Scribbles, why would you assume that? That was rather silly on my part to include it in the photo, wasn't it?

EDIT: The Max Memory card is 16MB and there is also a Sony PS2 8MB card as well - you are welcome to both of course (surprised you didn't notice the second one in the photo!)

LOL, there is a story behind that. On my last PS2, I had a wireless gamepad. The receiver looked just like the memory card, and I just assumned that it was a wireless receiver for a game pad. I am so used to seeing it plugged into my prev. PS2. What a muppet
Thanks, pending hu5tler and mostwanted i'll let you know by tomorrow 3pm. I won't mess anyone around, I just want to secure the best deal is all :)

And so you should!

mines isnt that model sorry and its chipped so dont think youd want it anyway.
#21
it's the model that i'm primarily interested in, i'd take a chipped one as long as it had been professionally done. I just don't want one that some amateur has been messing about with, that could short out at any time.
But the model is the primary concern, it has to be 75003 or earlier, with the screw inserts in the back. 77003 and later has no screw inserts for the Joytech screen.
