Just got my PS3 so need some games. Currently have Resistance FOM, F1 Championship and NBA Street Homecort.

Looking for: Virtua Tennis 3 if possible or any other decent games.

Not looking for: Def Jam Icon

Willing to pay £30ish, depending on title.

How about "Enchanted Arms" [PS3] (PAL/UK version) only played once - my kids didn't like it?

I could post by Recorded Delivery with Payment by PayPal for £25 total (inclusive of fees).

I am PayPal verified, have a bit of feedback here, but have over 680 feedback at eBay (with the same user name).

Let me know either way if you can.

Thanks.

BFN,

fp.

PS. What do you think of "Formula One: Championship Edition"? My 6 year old is bugging me to buy it & I'm not so sure [if it's a) suitable, b) worth doing for longevitiy of interest].

Never heard of the game to be honest, I'll have a read about it on gamespot and see what its like and get back to you.

F1 really good game, really enjoyable. Would recommend

Thanks for (both of) your recommendations on "Formula One...".

D'oh! That's more flexing of the plastic I could do without.

Damn children! ;)

Just had a look on gamespot, Enchanted Arms doesn't seem my type of game. Thanks anyway though fanpages. What games do your kids have? any you could recommend?

No problem.

I certainly wouldn't recommend "Sonic The Hedgehog" [PS3] - the lip synchronisation was terrible & they lasted about 30 minutes on it the one time we had it in the console, and have never asked to play it again... and they (all three of them) are huge Sonic fans.

We have "Spider-man 3: The Movie" [GAME Exclusive version] that they played for a few days solid, but then lost interest.

The youngest (5) loves "Lemmings" (the free download from the PlayStation Network).

Oh yes, all three take after me with great interest in "Tekken: Dark Resurrection".

We also have "Virtua Fighter 5" that they are no so keen on; still prefer "Tekken...".

"MotorStorm" is OK... but a bit too realistic for them to handle properly; "Full Auto 2: Battlelines" is more their age range, but the game is nowhere near as entertaining. We've had that on once as well!

Do you/your family like basketball?

We do have "NBA 2K7" in an unplayed state... just remembered... they weren't interested in playing it at all as they prefer [but how they know?] their PS2 variants. I could offer that to you for £20 delivered if you wish.

BFN,

fp.

PS. News on my 6 year old's view of "Resistance: Fall of Man":

The two eldest (9 & 6) love this!

EDIT: Correct "NBA 2K" to "NBA 2K7".

If your kids are into sword fighting, they may like "Genji: Days of the Blade" - mine prefer "Ninja Gaiden Sigma", so hence I can also offer you "Genji..." for £20 as well, if you wish.

(I really should start a "For Sale" thread at this rate).

Interesting read.

My little brothers the same with Resistance, can't keep him off it. We have NBA Street, so not really interested in another basketball game. Thanks for the heads up on Sonic though

If We$ton is not interested, I may be... if it is the full commercial UK/PAL format (with instructions/box writing in English) & the box/manual/inlay & disc are all in very good to excellent condition.

I have this title listed in by "WANTED" post, btw:

There is a bit of "button-mashing" at the beginning but they picked up the controls & how to avoid attacks/defend properly in about half an hour.

A lot quicker than they did with the "Heavenly Sword" demo!

PS. "Ninja Gaiden Sigma" is £24.99 at GAME at present.

You're very welcome.

Should really start a proper PS3 title review thread, I think... as you can end up spending a heap of money on a heap of kak in some cases :)

Yep, would be useful if there was a PS3 thread here. I'm gonna sign up to that 1upgamers for PS3, seems interesting for games.

I'm somewhat biased, check my profile (and click the link straight through).

PS. Have you tried "Super Rub'a'Dub" on the PlayStation Network?

Sorry... I forgot to ask how old your kids are.

Well, erm... it could be so much better. However, it is free... and it is going to be improved very soon.

The content offered on a weekly (typically, every Wednesday evening/Thursday) basis is somewhat sporadic in delivery & inconsistent in quality & quantity, but I look forward to the updates even if some others (on other forums) moan that they haven't received such'n'such a demo as it was suggested they would.

Newsflash: Sony doesn't owe anybody anything regarding the PlayStation Network. We should be grateful we can all go online on the PS3 without having to fund a month's playing in advance, like some other console offerings we could mention! :)

Personally, I would wait to get a demo in a state that it is playable rather than rushing a release to make a specific date period, but hey, I'm just strange that way! :)

Back to you kids... do you let your 8 year old play the 12+ games your 13 year can (...OK, let's be honest... do they both play 16+ games)?

Yeah as I play with them, in the instance of Resistance anyway. It's nothing too 'gory' so it should be fine :giggle:

What about yourself?

When (read: if) I get the chance to use the TV where "my" PS3 resides, if the kids are about I don't play the gory/twisted ones but as all three of them (5, 6 & 9) are into either driving games, shooting games, fighting games, or driving/shooting/fighting games, we find some common ground.

They like skating titles. I don't.
They like football & basketball titles. I don't.

They like the blue talking hedgehog & the fat Italian plumber, but they are kids... they are supposed to.

Oh yes... and LEGO Star Wars... I have seen so much of that bloomin' game I never want to see... no wait, the new version is out soon... there's no escape. Argggh.

That said, I'm looking forward to LEGO Indiana Jones & LEGO Batman :)
