Ah okay that sounds very appealing but that fault with the sound puts me off... Whats the problem with it? Also how much are these receivers and where could I buy one seperately?

not 100% sure really and i wasn't really bothered about the sound when i brought it. The one and only time i tryed to use it, the sound came through but very quiet and crackily...i'll give it a good going over later and see if i can get the sound sorted. I'm not sure whether it's a reciever or transmitter it needs....will do a bit of reasearch and let you know.

Cheers let us know how you go, as the sound is quite important to me and about the transmiter/receiver. If the sound doesnt work I wouldn't mind taking it off you for cheap as long as it's an adult size? but that would be a last resort if I cant get one fuly working  Also where are you based? If in Surrey I can pick it up but if not Delivered would be best!

Most of these chairs take a phono sound input, that wont be a problem with the tv as the ps3 is able to output sound and video seperatly.
All youll have to do is run a HDMI from ps3 to tv to paly games in HD and then the red white and yellow cables go into the chair for sound then run the ps3 through display setup, when you get to the end itll ask if you want to do audio setup, just select composite. If you want sound through the tv aswell though then youve got problems but could probably usea splitter
