Not that much better than what i've got already (8600gt 512ddr2)

But i guess it doesn't need a separate power connection right?

it doesnt need one, but can take one, it works without one plugged in.

Mine one does and I believe the 3850 PRO TURBO is better than 8600GT (around 4 generation higher based on that list)

You can use the following web-site as a good comparison tool

£40 plus delivery and it's yours. I really want someone to use it, I can not bear having that beauty sitting there gathering dust.

PS: You do need a connection from the power supply to this card.

Yes it has everything apart from the HIS screw driver torch. I even got the code for STEAM to get the free game which I never used.

I'll give that some serious consideration and see if theres any other offers

Need to have a look at my psu when i get home. iirc its a 350w standard model from a dell vostro 400 which i'm presuming will also need upgrading

Well I have a power supply as well which is the one I was using with that card.

Have a look at this thread.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/364007/fs-computer-bits-parts-and-more-zal/

I've got it close because at the time I had the graphics car in two thread at the same time . So could not sell them for a while.

Let me know if you would be interested. Not sure if sending the PSU through the post is worth it, but we can sort something out.

Is a psu change a motherboard-out job?

Nope, you don't need to take the motherboard out. But you do need to change the cables that are going from the PSU to the Motherboard and replaced them with the cables from the new PSU. Very straight forward
#20
I'll have to have a look at my current psu configuration before going ahead i reckon.

Don't know what connections i'm using currently

No problems. Check all the connections that you have coming out of your PSU.
Maybe if you take pictures of your PC and all the cables I can check whether the PSU that I have is any good to you or not.

Do you want the graphics card in the end?

Still not sure tbh. Weighing up whether its worth the hassle (and cost) to upgrade from my current setup

No probs. I might open my own thread at some point. I'll let you know if I do.

Thanks for that, sorry about the hassle

I'll take the card at the £40 asking plus postage if it's still available. Let me know what the total will be please.

The Steam games are a generic offer for anyone and everyone using an ATi card btw. There's a similar, slightly better, offer for nvidia users. I've got them on my Steam already, but if you don't then I can recommend them both, especially Deathmatch!

As the OP is not interested in the card then I'll post it in a separate thread.

Well, my offer stands in the new thread. You'll have to link me to it as I can't find it on the first five or six pages. The old thread is still locked at the moment.

I thought that if someone offered asking price on HDUK then it was a done deal anyway, subject to sellers veto I guess. Let me know what the score is and link me if there is a new thread.
