Just bought a TV, but no remote, so finding it hard to tune in my Xbox 360 (channel is Black & White). So I need the original remote to do tracking etc.

So if anyone has a remote knocking about....I'd consider it.

Think you just need to flick that switch on the xbox lead, you dont 'tune in' scart connections mate
#3

Thats what I thought (tuning in). The TV has two scart sockets, but one has fallen out. Its hard playing Resident Evil 5 in B&W :-)

Edit: the switch only has HDTV or TV on. It was already on TV as I dont own a HD. Must be a scart fault ? Although Sky is perfect...

I have one of the 'one4all' remotes, but that doesn't seem to have anything to tune it in. My TV was only a tenner...;)

asI say, you dont tune in scart channels, if its in black and white its because youve got the 360 set to 60hz and the TV is only 50hz, in fact it says on that sticker 50hz so change the settingon your 360

The console wont work on the AV channel, it only works on S-VHS channel. This is where the problem lies. I have tried on 50hz & 60hz - however the TV DOES offer 60hz. My Sky works perfectly, another console works on 50hz & 60hz too. It all worked on my other TV until it blew up last week.

I guess I am going to have to replace the 2nd scart socket, that has fallen off, as theres no fault with the cables or console.

PS, I didn't say tuning in SCART channels...I forgot to mention AV1 was dodgy & only S-VHS available.
