I'm after the official guide book for Resident Evil 4. Thought I'd try here before ebay in case anyone has one lying around that they'd be willing to sell. It was originally published in 2005. Thanks!

EDIT: Thought I should add - I'm after the book for the PS2 version, not Gamecube.

Thanks mate, I know there are copies as 'Buy It now' on ebay, but they are well over priced in my opinion.

When it sells on a regular auction it usually goes for £4 - £7 which I'd be happy to pay depending on condition

Are you stuck?
I have the PS2 version, I got upto that part when you're waiting for the lift with that thing you have to freeze or whatever, I didn't have strong enough ammo, it was so annoying, I haven't played the game since, apparantly it's the hardest part of the game, stick with it, I am determined to defeat it it, (one day)
From what I've been told I was doing the right thing, you just have to strike lucky!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
I hate cheats!!!
Only because I've used them out of desperation in the past and been sooooooooo ashamed of myself when realising it wasn't my intelligence or game skill that stopped me moving on, only a very irratating game glitch!!!! I wish you luck fellow gamer:thumbsup:

Haha, no not stuck - I've completed the game about 7 times now over the last 6 months. I just keep re-playing, getting every exclusive weapon, all the costumes, finding new ways to beat bosses, exploring etc. It's the one game I never get bored of. I want the guide as I'm after a complete list of all the treasures - I'm sure I'm missing one or two somewhere. Would just like to read through everything and check.

Verdugo (the creature you have to freeze) is super easy - you'll kick yourself when you realise, as he can be beaten in less than a minute. This is definitely not the hardest part of the game, so stick with it. This is the easiest/quickest method:

1. Buy the rocket-launcher from the merchant in the sewer.
2. Run straight down the tunnel - all the way to the end and into the far room - verdugo will try to swipe you a couple of times with his tail from the roof as you get near the room, so be ready on the action buttons.
3. Run in and head straight to the back right-hand corner of the room and press the button to turn on the power.
4. Turn around and run back to the door you came in - try to exit and it will say something about opening the 'shutter' (I forget what it says exactly, as I always skip it).
5. A short cut scene will show Verdugo drop down from the roof behind you - turn around and run straight past him into the middle of the room where there is a canister of liquid nitrogen. Push the canister over and since verdugo is right behind you he will get frozen by the liquid nitrogen.
6. Fire the rocket launcher into him and he'll shatter into a thousand pieces :-D
The shutter will open and you can run down the corridor and get in the lift.

It seriously takes less than a minute in the game
If you need help with any other bits, let me know.

Well, it depends which part you're talking about - the first encounter with the monks is when trying to enter the castle. Use the rifle to take them out from a distance - there will be monks launching rocks at you and you have no choice but to use the rifle because of the distance - try and hit the red barrels next to each monk so that they explode.

I managed to find videos for each section here which should help:

starsparkle, this is what I was talking about for verdugo:

honestly, it's my son who's stuck, if it was PS2 i'd have it sorted. but i'm not that good with a wii:oops:

he has got past the part mentioned above, it's the next bit inside the big churchy place that's the problem

will let him see that link tomorrow, cheers:thumbsup:
