Managed to get myself another Spectrum today, after selling mine back when the SNES came out :)

Looking for some more games for it... ones I'd be particularly interested in are:

~ Chaos (came free with Your Sinclair / Crash);
~ Fantasy Land / Magic Land Dizzy;
~ Sabre Wulf;
~ Rainbow Islands;

Probably others, but I can't think right now, lol! All considered, loose cassettes as well as those boxed with instructions.

Thanks!

.

The game Chaos came free with Your Sinclair on issue 57 (Sep 1990): Smash Tape 34

Have had chance to think and other games I'd be after are:

~ Seymour goes to Hollywood;
~ Daley Thompson's Decathlon / Hypersports, etc.;
~ Skool Daze;
~ Bak 2 Skool;
~ Mikie;
~ The Wild Bunch;
~ Any graphic adventure ones;
~ Lords of Midnight (also came free with a magazine - CRASH issue 92 (Sep 1991): Tape 28)
~ Robocop;
~ Pssst;

- hodsey77

.

Ooh, remembered a couple more that I sooooo need again:

~ Pyjamarama;
~ Everyone's a Wally
~ That other Wally game - something about Paradise??
- hodsey77

.

Thanks to Shengis, the other Wally game I was trying to remember was Three weeks in Paradise - anyone have that!?

Why dont you dload an emulator for free and dload the roms and play it on pc, save waiting on those cassette loading times.

I got the 128k +2... used to have a 48k when I was about 7 and then I upgraded to the +2A, lol!

Wanted the +2 as it had the built in tape deck - didn't want to have to go searching for a tape player for a 48k :thumbsup:

i remember getting rid of alot of games and only keeping the treasured classics/really fun games, i tried looking for them and cant remember where i left them or what i have done with them because would ideally like to sell them all in a bundle due to the weight. Only thing i have found is

All games are complete with cases and instructions

Magicland Dizzy (codemasters)
The Newzealand Story (the hit squad/ocean)
Capcom Platinum (capcom/u.s gold) (black Tiger, Strider, Fogotten Worlds, Ghouls n Ghost, Led Storm)
Sinclair Magnum light gun unboxed (no games at the moment due to not being able to find game collection)

these games are in excellent condition they actually look almost new which is very strange being almost 20 years old all complete, the Capcom Platinum still has the shop receipt from John Menzies if people still remember them (ink is still bright and bold and not faded on the receipt so if anyone ever asked me what i was doing on the 24th of december 1990 at 13:58 i was inside a John Menzies buying Capcom Platinum, buying a spectrum game on christmas eve what? was i doing)

pricing it all at £7 due to postage but would prefer to sell the whole bundle(would be better for you and me) if i can find my whole collection

Hiya ttsese. I used to have that gun myself - it came with the computer, in a James Bond pack... shame you don't have the games, too. The clay pigeon part was pretty cool, actually!

Definitely interested in Dizzy, New Zealand Story and the Capcom collection. Don't think the gun would be of any use unless you found the games for it though?

Are you still gonna have a look to see if you can find any more and then get back to me?

Thanks, :thumbsup:

Various prices really - some aren't worth 10p, others could be worth a £15! - same with all games for all systems I suppose. The vast majority aren't worth a lot these days, due to emulators and the like, but collectors will stay pay a fair bit for elusive games I suppose.

I'm more after the nostalgia - I used to love my speccy when I was a kid, and getting back some of the games I used to play is bringing back happy memories... my dad once spent hours typing in a code listing in BASIC for a fortune teller game, only for it to complain about a missing semi-colon or something when you pressed RUN, lol! :p

You need to get one, Tim - you haven't lived! :-D

Can't remember if the +2 has a tape/sound socket on the back like the +2A but if so you may consider checking the archives at WOS, converting the files to WAV and loading them via an MP3 player (or recording them onto tape...). I've got a huge speccy collection but unfortunately not for sale....

Three weeks in paradise btw :thumbsup:

God this thread is a trip down memory lane :) I still have my spectrum, and the gun complete with the bond shooting game, also have magicland and fantasy land dizzy too but i couldn't sell them, purely for sentimental reasons :)

Ah thanks shengis... I knew it was 'something' paradise, lol!

I'll check the back of the speccy - that's a good tip, thanks... much appreciated!

:thumbsup:

Edit: Checked the back and it has that port - I'll look into that Shengis, thanks!

I don't blame you.... I sold my speccy when I had over 1000 games, a graphic tablet, light guns... you name it. I bet people never even knew you could get half that stuff on the Spectrum, hehe!

Well, if you come across any others at a Booty or something, pick one up for us :thumbsup: :p

sorry hodsey im going to have to withdraw my offer, i found some more of my spectrum collection and some memories came back due to the excellent condition and the fondness of them, think i just love my dizzy games too much and thought it was the right thing to do to give you a reply instead of leaving you in the dark with what was going on, anyway you should be able to find some games because they shouldnt be that rare, good luck

I know what you mean ttsese... thanks for letting me know.

If you find any dupes, let me know :thumbsup:

Hey Hodsey, did you have any luck in finding any of those games?,
I recently dug out my old rubber keyed speccy and have been after a couple of the games you are after, mainly Choas and Back to Skool.. keep checking Ebay for the Your Sinclair tapes, FYI Chaos came with the following issues:
Your Sinclair issue 57 Sep.90 - Smash Tape 34
Your Sinclair 89 May.1993 - Beaut Box 4
I managed to find someone selling issue 88 but not 89

Fantasy World Dizzy came on CRASH 74 Mar.90
Magicland Dizz came on CRASH 84 Jan.91

I have Robocop, Sabre Wulf and Skool Daze which I would be willing to tape for you (if I can get my old tape deck working that is :) )

Hiya, thanks for your message... you know, in the time this has been on here, I've ended up getting all my faves, and then selling my speccy to fund my holiday, lol!

I really appreciate you offering to do me a couple of tapes, but not needed anymore...

Thanks again - had better request this to be closed, lol! :thumbsup:
