Wanted SKY+ viewing card

Looking for someone who has had a sky+ system and who has no longer any use for the card. Willing to pay for the card (after checking that it does in fact work).

I have a sky+ box that I am using as a freesat box and wish to use the pvr function - but do not want to pay 10 quid a month for multiroom or 10 quid for sky+ subscription. I already pay over 50 quid a month which I think is more than enough!

I think there was an issue before that they shouldn't be sold on.

Said on the back of the card etc.

They seem to be available for purchase on ebay. But I need to be certain that the card that I use was last used in a fully subscribed sky+ box.

Even if you pick up a second hand card you wont be able to use the pvr functions of the sky+ box without subscribing to a sky package and informing sky of the card number etc. Yes sky+ is becoming 'free' but only to sky subscribers.

Already subscribe to sky have a sky HD box and a sky+ box and multiroom subscription. Had a freesat card and an old sky digital box - which I have replaced with a sky+ box - I want to use the sky+ box to record and playback.

If you subscribe to sky already and pay for multiroom then all you have to do is phone in and pair your multiroom card with the sky+ box.

However as I read your reply now you have sky HD, and sky multiroom with a sky+ box AND you want it with another sky+. The multiroom sub will only get you viewing on 1 extra box for your £10 a month.

No matter if someone sells you a card that once was in a sky+ box it won't allow you to use the pvr functions of a sky+ box just by slotting it in i'm affraid.

But I have tried both the sky+ multiroom card and the sky HD card in the 'freesat sky+ box and they both enable that box to record and playback and to receive the whole sky package that I have subscribed to.

They will, any subscription card will work in another box and allow you to get the mix packages etc (and get the plus features if it came out of a hd or sky+ box) - but not normally the movies or sport as they are linked into the original card and box only.

Example I can take my sky card to my mothers when my son is staying there for the night and pop it into their sky box and get the £21 package I normally do at home.

You are trying sky cards in the freetoview sky+ box with a curerent SUBSCRIPTION activated on them.

You want to buy a card from someone that does not have a current subscription and get the sky+ features that need a sky SUBSCRIPTION to work.

Your only covered with your HD box and multiroom £10 sub sky+ box. Not further freetoview plus boxes :-(

Sorry if i'm not explaining it that clearly - If you pop over to www.digitalspy.co.uk then there will be threads already on the topic and the lads are nice and helpful :)

Cheers

Many thanks G. That I think is exactly what I was trying to ask for - someone who has had a sky+ subscription who no longer wishes to continue to subscribe (for whatever reason) who was willing to sell on their 'old' card. Hence me suggesting in the first post that I would need to see the card working in my box.
