All i know is they are advertsied as water turtles but i guess they are like terrapins!! They have a fish tank set up with a floating log and lamp in the pet shop!!! I love the little guys!! Are they relatively easy to care for with the right equipment? I have been given advice from the pet store and im also doing some research on the net 2!! :)

Well they should have a more specific name because they all require very different conditions, some also prefer more terestrial conditions. they can also grow very large!! and some can take your finer off!! id maybe go back and ask what species they are before persuing any further! :)

Bear in mind that they double their size every few months so buy a BIG tank. Would be nice if they stayed like they are in teh pet shop, but don't unfortunately and a lot of people end up taking them back when they get big!
