As the title says! Need on of those adapters for my keyboard. Must be a keyboard one, so it's purple, not green. Anyone got one lying about they can sell me?

State your price including 1st class delivery please =)

I wasn't aware there was any difference other than the color. I have a green one I'd be happy to give up.

Love it or hate it but:

That would do the trick.

I'm sure its only the colour that's different. Connections etc are identical.

Therefore a green one would work fine (as long as you stuck it in the purple port).

yeah agreed, a ps/3 connection is just that a connection, the keyboard and mouse are both exactly the same ports...otherwise it would be like i need a specific usb cable for a usb keyboard and a specific usb cable for a mouse...

Using a green one now for my itx media server so can confirm they are most definately the same device...... it's just the mobo connector thats green and purple - this is used to differenciate between mouse and keyboard when your behind pc............. there's no need to chase the cable all the way back to check if it's the mouse or keyboard plug

Another yea it's fine. I should know, as I've got 4 of the green ones (for my KVM switch), which can be used for either mouse or keyboard.

Just to confirm, you want to plug a USB keyboard into a motherboard PS2 port (as presumably you've run out of USB ports)? As there are ones that work the other way too.

Anyway, yours for £1 delivered 1st class from me if you don't do a deal with anyone else

Edit: Sorry, make that £1.50 please, as it's going to be 61p to post 1st class (47p 2nd class)!

Yeah I want to make my USB keyboard PS2. I've set my computer to dual boot and my USB keyboard isn't always detected on start-up so I can't use the arrow keys to move up and down to select different OS.

It's easier buying off someone here as I can do BT but I don't have a debit card to order online!

So I'll accept your offer of £1.50 thanks

Right, I see. May not be the most convenient way of overcoming this, but have you tried unplugging/replugging the USB connector whenever you have a problem? If it works to your satisfaction, save yourself £1.50 :)

PayPal (gift) would be ideal for such a small amount, but BT is fine if you still want to go ahead.

I've tried that before, I always have problems getting it to detect that keyboard, it was the same on my old pc. I love the keyboard though so want to keep it lol.

BT is deff better because I don't have any money in paypal. So if that's still ok, you can PM me you details :)
