Hi i am after the above for a Dell Vostro 400 tower I have one at the moment but I think my PSU isnt powerful enough as it cant start up. Therefore I am looking for one that doesnt use a lot of power, i have a pci express slot so anything that will work with that

why not get a bigger power pack? as i think that yours would be a 300w pp, dont it work with the on board video,you might have to go in the bios and change the setting to PCIe x16 (Graphics): to make it work on you pcie

ive never replaced a power pack, is it easy to do? What watt would i need and what would be he cheapest i could get

very easy, where are you base as there might be same one with a power pack for sale who lives close to you that can fit it for you if you buy one from them

Based in Hastings, what would be the cheapest option to get my card to work its geforce 7300gt any ideas? Thanks for the vid looks pretty easy does it matter which one i get are they all the same fit

it is set to use pcie but it starts up and then resets itself then starts up on internal, i want to use the tv out function to connect to an old tv thats why i want one

what happens when you power the computer once you have put the geforce 7300gt in ,does it have out put to the moniter,are you pluging the moniter from the on board video to the one you install?

no its none of them, the computer starts but there is no signal, it then restarts again, (all fans stop for a few seconds, then it boots using onbard graphics

1)you can upgrade your power pack
2)have you checked the video card to make shall it works in an other computer
3)uninstall the on board video drivers befor you install the pci e video card as that can stop your computer starting. have you tryed starting the computer in safe mode with the pci e card installed.
4) buy a tv card as most have tv out on them

have you got the video lead pluged in to the moniter from the card you are putting in?

seriosly m8 don't bother, vga quality over svhs connector is appalling, put the money towards a tv with vga/dvi in ;)
