if any1 has got 1 lying around, dont mind if its used. would prefer netgear as ive heard they are easy to install, but i dont mind any others as long as it works perfectly with virgin media.
Willing to pay £16 via paypal.

Several for sale on ebay under £16
been looking for some time on ebay, will all work with virgin? as ive heard romours that there are only a few that actually work with virgin, and do i just type in ''cable wirless router''?
just look for DSL router NOT adsl
Ebuyer have this Safecom one that gets good reviews for £18.28 delivered using supersaver delivery:

It's seems to do the trick pretty well and reviewers confirm that it works with Virgin cable.
Linksys probably about the best for virgin m8...
I used to work for Virgin Media and I seem to remember there was an issue with certain Safecom routers working correctly.

Something to do with the mac addresses they use.

This was a couple of years ago so things may have changd since then.

I use a Linksys WRT54GL router and have no problems getting full 20 meg speed using the customised DD-WRT firmware.

Paid about £40 for it new from Ebuyer.

just so wrong
netgear are poor.. I had a netgear 624 supper G wireless router and it was no end of trouble.. drop out, latency, poor throughput... I would never touch a netgear router again... I did also ahve a netgear network card in at the time and that was just as bad... it was a little better when I replace the card for a belkin one.. but when i got shot of the netgear router and bought a d-link one its been very smooth ever since..
