Unfortunately for you they come with those generic Asian Power Adapter PSUs. They make adapters for loads of different manufacturers devices. WDTV, WD's own desktop hard drives use them too! As do Hitachi, Seagate and all the rest. The unfortunate part of all this is that each PSU has a different serial number and millimeters of difference on the female pin. Without knowing the S/N of the mains adapter you require, you don't have much chance of finding an "official" official one.

Blimey, didn't know that, thanks for the info. I suppose it's the whole thing I'm looking for then.

You could get one easy enough (they're about a tenner on eBay) but you would need to know that number. If there's another site user with the same model WDTV they could tell you which one you needed.

No, it'll be on their PSU. It's usually a letter then a five digit number E.G: N14939.

I have the version with the big remote but I can't see a number like that on it?
It does say that its made by Asian Power Devices Inc and is model number WA-18G12K. If that's any use to you?

This is it on amazon, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-WA-18G12K-replacement-adaptor/dp/B005F0GDO2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420741919&sr=8-1&keywords=wa-18g12k

I may have one in the loft from a wdtv that stopped working. I'll have a look tomorrow night. I can't guarantee if I'll be able to find it or not! If I do and its suitable you can just have it.
