As per title - parents have 2 laptops running Vista Home Premium and want to upgrade to Windows 7. The upgrade discs seem the best option.

One has been upgraded and now they need the Acer disc and COA to upgrade the other laptop.

Does anyone have any upgrade discs they bought through the offers, but then decided not to use them?

Will need to be the 32 bit version

the upgrade discs from acer were a complete mess I ended up doing full install with the new disc that acer supplied for windows 7 . personally I dont think anyone will offer a copy or theirs on here you could try the acer website to see if your version qualified and see if they will offer you the upgrade and the disc provided only allows one use of the coa label
here's link http://www.acer.com/windows7upgrade/order.html
I know its ended but you may have some luck

Thanks for that

It did qualify, but they didn't want to order as they were happy with Vista at the time, but since seeing 7 in action on my desktop they have seen how much better it is, hence trying to get one for them

I'm not really clear on how copies of Windows can be used. I'm assuming that if I've installed it already on my laptop then either you won't be able to use my disc or if you do, my version of Windows becomes invalid? Is that correct, or can you use the same disc multiple times (and it still be legal)?

Its the COA that is important here - the disc can be used infinite times for installation etc, but the COA is what makes the version legal, hence needing the whole package for this

Thanks for that, but they hadn't registered because they didn't want it at the time, but thanks for your help :)
