I have an Advent 4211 10" netbook. It has the 1.6ghz atom processor 120 gb h/drive and i have upgraded the ram to 2gb.

The machine originally came with xp home installed which i deleted and installed osx86 hackintosh.I will provide a xp home back up cd and the machine has the genuine serial key on the base.I can also provide the dvd's required to install osx86 if you fancy a try with leopard.Currently i have windows 7 beta running and i will provide the back up dvd and the serial key.If you decide to install another os you will need drivers which are easily found on the net.

The machine is a few months old, fully boxed and in excellent condition, protective covers are still fitted on the screen and lid top.No receipt though.

It comes with the standard 3 cell battery which gives around 2 hours.I will also supply a 9 cell battery giving around 6 hours and a slip case.

Looking for £290 delivered.

thanks for the offer but the price is a bit rich for me - I could get an Nc10 for that amount which would be superior (and new, warrantied etc).

I can also get a warrantied refurb (admittedly without 9 cell battery, larger disk or ram upgrade) for £199 here

so I'll pass for now ...

Condition ?
Pictures ?

Does it really not come with any restore CDs as standard ?
Can you build them via a CD writer ?

EDIT : Actually its ok - having reviewed your feedback, with negatives from people I have traded with an know to be A OK, I dont think we could do business. Shame.

Is it this one ?

Are there any scratches - difficult to tell from photo of top of laptop - could just be fingerprints/smudges ?
#10
That's the one- no scratches that I can see, just fingerprints and smudges, yeah, hard to keep off of black!

In reflection of the price, 225 is what I can go down to.
#11
Based on used, only 9 months warranty, and price against the new one, I am interested but would be looking to offer around £170, providing its boxed with all manuals/cds/cables etc that came with it...

I can get the Advent 4211-c Refurbished from PC World with identical spec and full years warranty for £208 (see other thread on HDUK)...
#12
Not looking to lose £100 in two months (bought 12th Jan), cheers anyway.
#13
Whats the lowest you could go, delivered ?
#14
£225.
#15
OK, thanks for the offer - as I said can get a refurb with a full warranty for less than that.
#16
You can get a refurbed Advent (which isn't the same, the HDD is smaller and colour is different, as well as the manufacturer's warranty), yes, I'm just not willing to undercut that.
#17
The 4211c is exactly the same spec (same machine in all regards apart from the badge as far as I can tell) and is £229 as a refurb buth with quidco and discount comes down to almost £200...

Know where your coming from thoguh about the depreciation !
#18
im really not that bad, i refunded whoever had the hd dvds and i didnt
send the psp game because i forgot anyways no problems
#19
Just buy a refurb Advent 4211 from PC World. I've got one and I'm really pleased with it. Unless you're media hungry, the 80 gb HDD is more than enough on the 4211.

It isn't, it's 80GB according to the link you gave. I'm going to Hackintosh this one since it doesn't look likely I'll get more than £200 for it.

yea the link was for the 80GB one at £199 - the £120 is £219 but with discounts + quidco it can be had for nearer £200

Is that the only difference between the 4211 and 4211-c ?

hi Phanco dont buy an advent or msi you know you want an NC10 i bought one last week on 3 pay from cdiscount ordered on thursday arrived on friday morning 3 payments of £101, £45 credit on account and £12 quidco. with the msi wind clones you will only be disappointed by the poor battery life re sale value and noisy hard drives.
I've had them all .
#25

Still in the market (although considering Markrfcs comments on NC10) - what price you thinking of - was this the "Sainsbury's special" ?

Can you confirm the specification (model/disk size), how much you paid and provide a reciept for the warranty ?

And is this a different one to the one you got 3 weeks ago in Saisnbury's and have been using (According to the akoya thread ?

nah, dont think so - just cleared out my phones (as you know from our recent 3-way).

Didnt you say you paid £309- £45 credit - £12 quidco = £252 ?

Hi its the E1210 with the 80gb HDD, i brought three of them but realized after traveling 120miles to get the other two that really we only needed the two so it has just sat there untouched, i cannot give you my receipt as i have my own one on it also . Its also on my credit card so im sure it wouldnt do you any good for warranty purposes as you cannot show my card , but if there is a warranty card inside to be filled in i will be happy to copy the recept for you to use.I will check my other two that are in use to see about warranty cards.
