What are the 'obvious' reasons for not wanting Windows 7? It's faster than XP!

I love it.

Hi,

Well its a beta to start with....

So dont want be Guinea Pig for M soft...

I feel XP on my older laptop is much more efficient than Vista on AMD Turion dual core ...

And my lap top needs special drivers for Audio and Video and they r not available even for Linux so XP is the best choice at the mo..

cheers

After using it on a few different machines at work and my laptop at home I feel it's more polished than Vista. It's a beta but you'll be able to continue with a new code or upgrade with a full license key eventually. Lots of drivers aren't available for Linux - XP drivers have worked for everything I've tried.

Hi,

any one has genuine xp with product key, found on Flea bay loads but prefer to buy from here from friends...:-D

My compaq presario 504 ea needs special drivers which I am sure are not available for windows 7 and I feel AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Processor and 2 Gb Ram too is insufficient even for Vista as I have a habit of keeping open several applications running at the same time...

Tried it witrh XP on a lesser spec machine and seems to work fine...

hence ordered a new SATA and am going to do fresh install of XP...

so any one???

considering these sell for £50-70 new, and once you've used the code you cannot reuse on a different machine, thus you require a brand new code -why would anyone sell you at under 20% of it's value?

thanks reflex for pointing out my mistake...:-D

I see that XP Pro fetches much higher price than XP Home whose price I remembered.and based my suggested pric on.

I will be willing to up my offer so folks dont be stopped by the advertised price...

I have 23 quids sitting in my Paypal...:-D

Also with XP Home, it'll only be able to use one core of your CPU. You need XP Pro to make use of dual/quad core.

Yep thats right ....

It is XP pro I am after....:-D

has to be authentic unused on any machine...

\incorrect it's limited to 1 processor, but uses two core of the processor if you have dual core. If you don't believe me bring up task manager and you'll see two graphs

I've been testing Windows 7 at work and I find it slightly concerning that it blue screens with any of the Microsoft recommended anti virus solutions installed.

Other than that I like it.
