Wanted : Wireless Dongle Cheap as Possible

Hi there, I'll soon be getting a £15 PC from my Dads work (Pentium 4 HT etc) and want to use it for bittorent and storing files on etc but I'm at the top of the house and the router is downstairs so I can't go and connect it via ethernet.

So, I'm wondering if anybody has got one they don't need prefferably with CD for the chepest price possible - would be perfectly fine in a small jiffy bag.

Wireless G one preffered (although I haven't actually ever seen an a or b one)

Cheapest you can do - Tim

if you can go extra get homeplug kit get max speed need 2 plugs tho
#5
Homeplugs are just way way too expensive - our wireless used to give us the download speeds we were paying for (200-300kb/s) however over the last couple of months its been going at a terrible 50kb/s. We've tried another router and its the same. However we're waiting for the MAC Code to come and we'll be moving from ORANGE to Virgin Media (Non-Cable) for £10 a month (Because we're taking the switch provider things so they give a pretty darn good discount). Hopefully we'll be back to normal on the speeds and we wont keep on getting the interent going down... (Which is bloody annyoing).

Oh yeh - thought I'd posted it before but obviously not - I already have a Belkin 54g USB Adapter for my main PC and it works fine.

I think they have lifetime guarantees - maybe it's worth contacting them and getting them to replace it?
#14
Yeah Belkin are good for guarantees...old wireless router broke and they just asked for serial and sent a new one. Anyone interested in a faulty belkin wireless router :whistling:

Problem is, is that the usb thing has actually snapped off the PCB?

Can I still replace it then?
#16
Tell them it fell off?
