If you have the l or xl speed broardband you can get it for free from virgin media.
Give them a call and ask for one.

I did and they sent me a netgear one for free as did many other customers.

Just to let you know. I rang Virgin when i was after a new wireless router. They informed be to go and buy one from PC World and upon receiving the receipt they would credit my account with £45.

Bought a Netgear from there for £60, sent the receipt to Virgin. They checked it, sent it back and credited me with £45 on my account. Give them a ring. :)

for syzable-
i have just spoke to VM, they said that only under exceptional circumstances that they would ever offer that deal.......ie moving from bt broadband to VM and wireless connection truly needed.
they said that VM does not "truly" support wireless, and are currently conducting trials to assess true efficacy over wireless connections over cable.

please could you say who you spoke to, ordinary customer services or retentions department?

I spoke to normal Customer Service but i did tell them that i was tempted into moving to a company that provided them for free. :) I've been with NTL/Virgin for 6 years.

ok nice one, i already negotiated better package, so with the contract tie in- they know they have got me!
i want to use it to log onto my work vpn- they will give me £20 towards my bill- thus reducing my entire vm package to £15 per month- tv, phone, internet. i would rather continue to use the vm internet than have another phone line put in- that way i prosper :-)
