I'm looking for console only but will consider offers, not looking to pay over the odds. I'm not even sure if I want to continue gaming.

fwibble - I have heard that most of the time they wont look at the seal. I would suggest wait until they refuse to fix otherwise you might end up with two!

Up to you..

yeah, however i'm looking for a flashable drive... sure the high percentage that get returned to microsoft these days come back with lite-on drives

well its on its way to frankfurt, if they don't do anything with it, i may just try and get it fixed via xclamp method... or just sell it on ebay

I've got one, been opened because the dvd drive is VERY VERY noisy, as if somethings loose, works fine though :)

I just got one back from MS when mine died (rrod) had a Hitachi 78 drive in it..well easy to flash (in fact i've just done it) so i wouldnt worry too much about what they send you back as i thought the same about the liteon drive but both mine and my mates had hitachi... As for the seal, they checked my friends and sent it back to him, had to go down the china fleabay route.. :whistling:

I know a few people with Lite-on drives in their very new 360's that would let them go cheap, good for someone just wanting an xbox, not so good for anyone wanting to flash em

aye n you know me  :giggle:

i'm hoping that someday in the next few months that they will create a lite-on clip similar to the wii-clip so that it will make the read only drive in to a flashable drive.

My other option is to buy my mates refurbed 360 with wireless controller, 20gb hdd, all cables for £90 plus make him a rapid fire controller. get my 360 back, buy a lite-on reader, read the key from the lite-on and dump it to my benq...

should only take 5 minutes :giggle: amd the rest :giggle:

aye seems a relatively simple process, the connecting part but then you have to be able to understand hex code and find the information that is needed.

I don't have enough spare time at the moment, yeah I 'm on here a lot, but thats my way of zoning out
