As title say, I'm after a xbox with xbmc on it.
I would prefer to take one already modded but it will consider offer both for the console on its own and/or for a "kit" for softmod.

Too far I'm afraid..I'm from south yorkshire. How much would you want for it? If I arrange a collection with a delivery company?

The thing is, I work long hours so am never in during the week for waiting for couriers mate. That's why I would prefer collection.

Cheers anyways.

I have a softmodded standard HDD Black XBOX with XBMC installed as the main dash - £20 + Postage.

I also have a crystal XBOX with 160GB HDD and Xecuter Mod Chip also with XBMC installed as main dash - £40 + Postage.

Both will come with standard controller and standard AV leads however I have a Monster branded component cable for an extra £10 if interested?

Out of intrest, does the XBMC play DIVX files if they are put on a dvd as a .AVI file? So it becomes a divx player?

how much for the delivery morrk?
#15
I dunno tbh, I'm rarely in the house to arrange parcel2go collection so would be probably need to be Royal Mail. I'm guessing £10-£15?
#16
to cossie: would you take about 20 delivered considering the "sticking" drive?
#17
how much could you arrange delivery for?
#18
Well according to the royal mail site, you should manage with about £10
#19
to morrk: when you would be able to post it? would you take 45 delivered for the crystal one?
#20
I would want £50 delivered for that one to be honest mate. I advertised it a few weeks ago but to be honest have got used to having it in my debroom now lol. I ain't desperate to sell but if it will be more useful to somebody else I am willing to let "her" go :)

I could post on Wednesday as I am in work tomorrow and would need to pack it up.

As nothing, is confirmed on the thread.

I have a hardly used Xbox with the X3 chip in, and larger HDD, the chip display is on the front with 4 dip switches for multiple memory boots??

http://www.xbox-modchips.com/xecuter2.htm

I have recently just put the XBMC on it that looks like the xbox 360.

I suppose I would be after more than £20 as the chip is worth more???

ALso have power, and video leads, and controller if required.
#22
How large is the HDD Chiptivo?
#23
Where in South Yorkshire are you Woodstock?
#24
I'm really close to Sheffield.

To be honest, I am not sure.. I can check later if you want. It is going to be a 20 or 40gb I think.

Hi all sorry to butt in but hoping someone can help me.

I have recently softmodded my xbox and put XBMC on it but it still has the standard 12GB Hard Drive in it. Does anyone know if I buy one of the xbox to USB cables and plug an external Hard Drive into it, will the xbox pick it up so I can put films on it from my PC and then watch them on the xbox?

I have tried finding this out from the XBMC forums but no one seems to know so hoping someone has tried it :)

Thanks

I'd say no, get a bigger hard drive banged in it

There are loads of guides for this online (swapping stock HDD for a larger one) - blocked at work but will post a link this evening when I'm home if noone else points you in the right direction! Doesn't cost much to source a new HDD and it's great just how much you can stick on one

I have seen quite a lot but most of them are for a chipped one not a softmodded one, and the ones i have found that are about softmodded ones seem a bit scary as most say there is a real chance you can brick your xbox due to the HD and CD drive being licked together, so a good guide for a softmod would be good thanks :)

Thats why I advise using CHIMP if your upgrading with a softmod...

Compared to xboxHDM it takes at most an hour compared to 24hrs and 20 cds lol.

You can get a usb cable off ebay for circa £2. Whilst the xbox won't read a usb drive it will read a 4gb sandisk usb stick (and other makes but I know sandisk work) so its handy for transferring avis between your computer and your xbox if you have not networked it
