What would you offer me for this PC? Thinking of selling.

Hi guys. I have been pondering selling my existing pc and buying a laptop.
I was interested in knowing how much you think its worth.
The spec is: Ez buddie d1s4-2
INTEL CELERON 2.4 CPU
512MB RAM (1 SLOT FREE)
160 GIG HD
NVIDIA TI4400 128MB GRAPHICS
KEYBOARD OPTICAL MOUSE
17 INCH TFT
If you search ebay there are 2 on for sale but bear in mind mine comes with the monitor. I havnt got the original xp discs but could do a fresh install. Pc, Monitor and graphics card all have boxes.

The only blemish on the pc is that one of the hinges on the card reader cover has come off but it still opens and closes fine. From time to time the computer will just freeze but have been told this could be due to heat build up and have today ordered a fan blower to extract hot air out the back. I also have a nvidia fx5200 128 mb card which has a heatsink opposed to fan so this might be better suited to reduce the internal temperature.
I use the pc for basic everyday tasks. It runs sims 2 at medium to high settings ok but games like fear and more intense games would struggle to perform. It performs well in windows.
They have a detailed specification at the ecs website.
The only reason Im thinking of selling is to free up space in my living room for a large entertainment.
Let me know what u think. Thanks

I was hoping for £200+

I will over you seven Cheshire cows...no history of illness in any of their bloodlines and all fit to produce the finest milk this side of England.

Or if you prefer to eat them their tender yet lean hides will provide you with an experience like no other. If you are interested let me know, thanks.

Also sorry to break it to you but the only person who would pay £200+ for this is an elderly relative who does not know any better.

Unfortunately with consumer electronics and computers especially they depreciate in value much faster then we would like...you just gotta take it on the chin!

You are looking at a price of £200 - £250 to buy that NEW, so a secondhand value would have to be around the £100 - £125 max mark. Less of course if there is no offical operating system or license key.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

thanks simon, im probably better of either on ebay or to a friend/relative. cheers
#7
ebay you would get around 100-110 max

most of that being for the monitor...

if the price dropped significantly, then id be interested
#8
Sell the monitor separately, pal.
#9
how much you looking at off loading the monitor for? Where in the UK are ya (for postage/collection)?
#10
You will definately get more out of it if you sell the monitor seperately, I personally think you could get about £120 for system and at least £40 for monitor.

£80 for the PC and about £40 for the monitor IMHO.
#12
I would say about 60 for the monitor mate...

And probably around the same for the pc!
#13
id give you 40 for the monitor

As people have mentioned Pcs aren't worth a great deal as there constantly being upgraded, Its like buying a brand new car, You drive it off the forecourt and instantly lose money!

As for a price about £80-£90 for the pc and about £50-£60 for the monitor (If no bad pixels etc)
#15
any price on the monitor?
#16
Thanks for all the responces...looks like Im gona have to keep it..not worth as much as I thowt..plus monitor has a couple of pixels gone so worth even less now!!!
#17
i dnt think monitor is worth over 50. the pc for about £110.
