Probably but we have a hoist in the car also but the hoist will only lift upto 90kg and her new chair is like 120kg and we only have 18months left and we will be getting a new car with a new hoist. As we only really need the ramps for her new chair for 6 days or so i don't see paying £300(grant will pay for rest) for a new hoist when the car will be going soon.

Government won't help with this, i've tried. They are so expensive too. I need them for getting into friends houses etc. Still haven't got a pair(i make do with large wooden planks). Try ebay, they go for 80-90 there and thats the best price you'll get.

No need to reply to me, don't want you using all your bumps:D

Hiya, if you only need the ramps temporarily then your local red cross will loan them to you for free, hope this helps x

No, I have phoned them and all my local mobility shops and no one has any to loan/hire out. And I know you can get them new for £80-£90 but I think that is too much to be spending just to get 6 days use out of them and seeing as we are going on holiday soon can't really spend that amount of money at the

anyone else ?

Can you ask for a loan of someone's ramps on freecycle? There might be someone who has a set for a family member who is only there occasionally or something like that. No harm in asking.

Did that and got no replies as of yet
