Hey everyone, for sale is a very used and scratched White boxed Macbook (late 2006 model) with it's original box.
There are a few faults with this item which the buyer should be aware:
- There is no charger
- The battery in the Macbook cannot hold a charge
- The outside rim of the Macbook has the common cracking effect which means a little bit of the plastic has fallen off the very front of the top.
- There are no original CD's for this
- The top half is not align with the bottom half of the macbook by a millimetre of so
- The fan's do not work and there is a slight dip in the middle of the Macbook, will need some new fans I think to make it work. it does power on although when you use something which needs alot of the processing power, it will heat up and will shut off in however long, it could be 10 minutes, it could be an hour.
Looking around the fan only costs 40 pounds and doesn't require soldering so I've seen.
As there aren't many comparisons price-wise, I think my price is reasonable for how much it would cost to fix and work.

Many thanks.
Will send the item first class recorded the next day to the buyer.

dvs_dee - Hey, I've been through many experiences with Toshiba, mainly pretty bad so i'm gonna have to pass i'm afraid
alicom007 - sorry but I have no interest in blackberrys as i have an iphone, thanks anyway :)

Would prefer cash to be honest, it's going towards an iPad hopefully
Here's another picture including my username and date as requested :)
Many thanks!
has the laptop been opened up?
It's never been opened up at all :)
interested in making a offer but the top half not attached to the bottom looks like a expensive job. can you explain the problem abit further?
The top half not attached to the top?
They are both attatched, sorry I didnt post the picture I should of posted a few times ago :)

this bit
The top half is not align with the bottom half of the macbook by a millimetre of so

i think you tried showing it in this pic http://flic.kr/p/8qDUdR
but i cant really tell what is causing it
Oh that, they misalignment is hardly noticeable to be honest, I'll take another one showing the misalignment. That picture there was showing the little cracks around by the fan at the bottom. The top and bottom are together, its not loose, it's quite tight to be honest it's just the top part is about a millimetre (abit less maybe) to the right. I'll post a pic up now :)
Bump :)
Doesn't anyone want this before I put it on ebay?
I'm tempted. What's the lowest you'll accept?
150 pounds maybe. Give me an offer what you class it to be worth? :)
Hmmm.. Ive never dabbled with a MAC before.. Im tempted to see if i can restore this one...

Im not a million miles away from the Wirral either would pickup be an option? At the right price of course.

Also i dont see a list of specs anywhere?

Do you have a model number of the laptop with specifications?

Edited By: sancho_uk on Aug 11, 2010 11:24: info request
Pick up could be an option if you wanted, although it would only save something like 10 pounds in postage as I was intending to get a courier anyway. But its up to you though :)
And I can't find the model number because I had to cut the information out of the box because I had to send it to Apple for the free iPod scheme also the bottom of the Macbook is scratched so I can't give you the model number. Although I can give you the specs: 2.0 ghz /2x512 mb/80gb with a combo drive with an Intel GMA 950 graphics.

P.S - Just looked on the website also and it tells me that is a mid 2007 model, which makes more sense as the late 2007 one came out just 3 weeks after I bought it.

is it core duo or core2duo?

also, despite the lack of a working battery and power supply, its definitley switches on and works ok otherwise?

any stories behind it? how did the dip in the middle occur?
Hey I think it's core 2 duo will check when I get home but I swear it's that.
Everything powers on and works fine it's just the fan registers at 000rpm. It has snow leopard on it right now aswell.
The dint happened in the middle I found out today when I asked around the family that my ex stepmom drunkenly stood on it, which for a laptop is never good.
Everything else on the laptop is fine though. No problems at all accept the fan :)
does the dent affect any of the keys?
humm.. well without being able to look inside and assess the damage, i'm afraid i wouldn't offer more than £100. especially if it's been stood on!!!
The dent affects no keys at all. They are all in working order it is just the fans.
Baconandsandwich I think the lowest I would go is £130 to be honest :)
il give you £120 can pay by paypal now
I'll accept 120 pounds aslong as thats without postage, postage would be another tenner though so I think. Will accept 127 though as i suspect a courier could be pretty cheap.
Thanks :)
lets jus say £125 then and you can use http://www.parcel2go.com/

would you send first please as its alot of money? i can cover postage cost then rest on delivery
The only way I'd post first is by you accepting the 127 pounds :)
Then I'll be happy, as Paypal Gift?

how much do you want for the postage upfront?
like 7 pounds is what i've been quoted from your website.
Is that alright?
Thanks :)
yh no probs take to pm
any probs with original buyer.I would buy at the requested £127 delivered.thanks
hmm i'd be interested at 127
recieved today thanks. rest of payment just sent.
