What about going as horrid henry - jeans t shirt, spikey hair and freckles oh and a catapult lol!
#2
harry potter, just make him a cape, small pair of glasses and draw a scar on his head.

I've never seen Horrid Henry lol. I said HP as it would be the easiest to do, he said no grr lol.
#4
make him up as a book, bit of cardboard and few pages, do the trick, and a bookmark for extra effect if ya got the energy.

Thats a really good idea. I wouldn't know where to start tho. I'm not very imaginative.

Wheres Wally-we did that one year-stuck some circles of card round some old sunglasses and he wore jeans and one of my red stripy tops - and his grandads walking stick...........
#7
if you are really stuck-what about bandage him in a few places and he could go as Mr Bump?

A woman came into my shop yesterday who needed a costume for this. She was looking for a furry coat so her kid could go as the wolf from little red riding hood.

My 7 year old son regularly dresses as Captain Underpants; red cape, white underpants, shave his head (the last one's optional, we don't do that often). Hope it's a warm day!

I would post a photo of him but at least one of us would probably get arrested:

My daughter is going as the Gruffalo. Found a mask online that you can print, colour and mount on to cardboard: http://www.worldbookday.com/assets_cm/files/pdf/10webA1n_JuliaDonaldsonAndAxelSchefflerTheGruffalo.pdf
