40gb would be a bit small i think as they have photos etc that need saving on there, thanks for the offer though:thumbsup:

Hi.

I have just ordered a 500gb SATA drive so both my 80gb and my 120gb IDE drives are both available.

£23.50 for the pair, delivered?

Or £10.50 for the 80gb and £14.50 for the 120gb.

Both in fully working order, are in fact currently in use (until tonight!) - no bad sectors etc. I believe one is Seagate and one is Samsung though I can check that for you.

They are both fully working. No bad sectors on either.

I can't do £8.50 I'm afraid. Postage will be £4. I would be more flexible if you wanted both.

Wow postage will be that much for one? there not that heavy are they, i thought it would be closer to £3.

My dad is going to ask at work if he can get one out an old machine for free so i will have to get back to you.

Let you know tommorrow night, cheers

Last time, I used Collect+ as Royal Mail were ridiculously priced.

If you want both drives, I can do a decent deal as I only have to pay postage once.

it's a very little used drive but has been lying around for a while, tested it yesterday (and gave it a full format whilst I was at it) and all good!

8.50 is a bit on the low side, could drop to a tenner, but that really is the lowest of the low!

Similar to this, I had my 80gb at £10.50 and 120gb at £14.50. I could go as low as £9.50 for the 80gb as well and £13 for the 120gb. I would however prefer to sell them both, and would do that for £21.50.

Either way, I would like payment via BT.

Guaranteed both working as they are actually still in my machine and will be formatted before sending. No bad sectors either.

Ok, now took apart my two drives.

The 80gb is a Seagate Barracude.

The 120gb is a Hitachi Deskstar.

Afraid not, no lower than 9.50 unless you want both drives.

I also PMed this to the buyer:

Mate, got a bit of bad news.

Opened my PC up again just now and my 80gb isn't booting up. When I plug it in, the computer won't turn on. I don't know if it's a major problem or a small one, whether it's the HDD, IDE cable, IDE port or conflict with my SATA drive.

At £9.50, I was making £5.50. Out of goodwill, I can halve that to £2.75 and the postage stays the same at £4 so £6.75.

There are definitely no bad sectors and it worked fine yesterday. But I can't guarantee where exactly the fault is.

It's up to you bud, will definitely understand if you don't want to take the risk.

Am quite gutted as it was fine yesterday, no idea what's gone wrong.
