To be honest just about any cheap tablet will work as well, if not better, than a two year old e reader. You only need storage and display really, ram is all but irrelevant, as is processor speed (unless you're a very very VERY fast reader). Check out Amazon, wowcher, Groupon etc. Spend £20-25 and get one with a warranty -what I would do.

​r u sure I was under impression book readers batteries don't need charging fir weeks or is that incorrect.

Yeah, most of them last for around a month for light use I heard.

​was thinking about book readers aswell as tablets phones and stuff nee charging quite often and they are not very friendly on the eyes are these book readers any good in the dark.
