WTB: Large HDDs (internal, 3TB+)

Anyone got one or more 3TB+ HDDs? Looking to replace my 2 1TBs with something a bit bigger. Would like to see a CystalDiskInfo screenshot to verify they're in decent nick

I've got a 3TB NAS listed?

Stay away from Seagates, specifically model ST3000DM001, (or variants). Plagued with issues.

Weird, had 2 Barracudas running since I built my rig a few years ago and never had an issue. Never tried the 3TB versions though.

Not after a NAS I'm afraid mate, only after a straight up internal disk

It is the 3TB which have the issues, experienced it myself a few times. When I did some research I discovered they had a real issue.

Up until recently I had 6 x 1tb Samsung Spinpoints running non stop for 6 years. Only one of them had a slightly iffy SMART status which was due to a dodgy Sata cable.

Extremely interested. Could you possibly provide a SMARTs report? Or a CrystalDiskInfo report on the drive? Also, do you have the proof of purchase?
