I have a 400GB SATA HITACHI 5K500 which has just been made redundant by a laptop upgrade. I bought it in August and it works perfectly but it's 12mm deep rather than the standard 9mm so it doesn't fit everything.

This is the drive at the cheapest I could see it:

that link is a bit confusing... in description it states it's a 2.5" drive yet further down in physical specifications under form factor it states it's a 3.5" drive

Just a typo I think. It says 2.5" everywhere else & the model number is the same one as I have which is definately a 2.5. Just Google it that's what I did & picked the link to the cheapest one.
