I have a philips dvd player but don't think its multi region as only ever used region 2 discs. I'd only be looking at £5 + P&P for it if you don't manage to get one.

We got a £17 asda smartprice dvd player and it works with discs from USA no problem.

Cant be sure about other regions but was surprised considering the cost.

Have had it almost 6 months and no probs but for that price if only lasts a year not a disaster.

Whichever DVD player you opt for there should be a way to make it region free, there is normally a set of buttons you have to press in a particular order on the remote to 'unlock' it and make it region 0 (region free).

Once you buy your replacement DVD player PM me your make and model and i'll sort it for you.:santa:

**i say there 'should' be a way to unlock it, maybe PM me first to ensure i can find the code for you befor splashing out on the player**

Ahh right! I have a floating shelf in my lounge but it's slightly to big for the shelf. Thanks for the offer though :)

Got the dvd player I posted a couple of days back, it says its NTSC compatible but it was misleading and it meant it worked with tvs that were NTSC compatible :x Tesco have the worst customer service, it comes with a hdmi to dvi port, yet no sound cables with it (even though I say it is included)

But we bought our own sound cables and it works fine.

The code to unlock it is here if you do get it, Its worth it now we have bought our own cables which it says it includes....:
