Just looking for the console itself, don't need anything else.

Also have for trade, a 4gb 3rd gen ipod nano, used but good condition. Had it since around april, includes headphones and usb cable for the computer. Willing to trade if the package is right.

Oh and forgot to say, I have the box + manual etc for the ipod

You planning on repairing it?

Going to give it a shot, to begin with, I was just after a drive so that I can put it in mine because its damaged, but may just be worth having a go on a new one.

brand new, NOT REFURBS or PULLED 2nd hand Samsung MS28's are only £30 delivered dude. Next day delivery too.

It can replace any drive, what is wrong with yours as if it's a dodo, you wont get the key from it, if it just doesnt read discs then thats fine.

Which one have you got>?

then again if its just not reading its just as easy to change the laser for £15 ish

The drive doesen't respond at all...to anything. To begin with I thought it was just that the disc tray wouldn't open, but after forcing a disc in there, nothing is happening at all, I'm presuming its dead, I've dumped the firmware of it previously.

yes that's true but out of near 20 laser changes only 6 worked as they should with a new laser, the others were a PCB or mechanism fault where the laser doesnt sit close enough,

So unless you fully refurbish it, you could end up wasting 10-15 quid on lasers per drive.

Easier, simpler, and better for you in the long run to change the drive. Though if you have a BenQ, be prepared to pay 60+ for a used replacement if you can find any that is. Hitatchi's are dirt cheap but there is a reason for that!

I have 2 faulty 360s available. Bought to fix but I honestly don't have a clue what the heck I'm doing. Look like they may have been opened before as they were ebay jobbies. They turn on but have 3 red lights.

If you want one i'll happily trade for the nano.

Let us no,
Danny
