looking for an xbox 360 with a faulty drive! i.e it wont read discs anymore or fails to read them 90% of the time that somebody no longer requires anymore.

mine has recently crapped out on me but I can salvage the drive as I have the key. I understand they go on fleabay for between £20-30 so was looking to purchase one at about that price but dont really trust that site.

please let me know if you have one and please no RROD offers as I've had my fair share of issues with that fault.

much obliged

If YOUR dvd drive has gone why are you after another that has the same fault? surelyt getting an RRoD box, taking out the dvd drive, reflashing it with the key for your console and putting the drive in your old box would be quite simple, if not I am sure you could just ask if anyone has a 360 dvd drive.
Also to note, if you are replacing the drive, you really wanna try and get one the same make and model as your own, if you dont spoof it properly and go on xbox live you'll get the ban hammer on it.
Hope that was some help for you,

Mike..

mike is right, you dont make sense.

u mention having your key to put your drive into the new xbox (to replace its faulty drive)

which says to me that this isnt a job for you as you know nothing about the process..

Your current key, is for your current 360, it wont work on another... Your current drive can be used to replace a broken drive in another "working" 360, but you would need to get the key off the broken drive first in order to flash YOUR drive with that key, to then put into the new xbox..

if you need help PM me

I have an xbox which I believe has a faulty drive (that is what i was told anyway)...to be honest I only bought it for the case so it would come without the casing. is that any good to you?

*au_rustique as long as it powers on with no rrod that would be a tremendous help, how much you want for it?

Hi I have just plugged it in and it powered up fine...I then opened the tray and put a dvd in and it came up with 2 red lights. I then removed the disc and restarted the xbox and all loaded up fine again. I could post by next day courier on Monday for you if you want it.
How does £15 delivered sound?

2 red lights is an overheating issue I believe mate, was kind of trying to avoid anything along those lines, cheers anyway fella, apologies if you feel I've wasted your time!
