  top tip. go instore at game. last week i bought a reconditioned game cube + controller + memory card all with a years manufactues guarrente for only £12.99!:thumbsup: its virtually brand new and they have loads in stock

  I have an official black gamecube controller you can have for £8 delivered.
  
  I dont think we have a spare memory card, the kids use them! I will double check though.

  You need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games, the classic controller is for virtual games.
  
  Thats how I understand it anyway.

  That's exactly it :) I bought a wii to play both gamecube games and wii games, particuarly ssbm!
  
  Cheers for the Game idea, will have a look in my local next time i'm in.
  
  £8 is a bit too dear for just the one controller and no memory card.

  If you have a cash convertors around they have the memory cards in there for £3, i got one yesterday, and also if you dont mind gamestation sell the unoffical controllers for £3 each, if your near one.

  Went into my local gamestation yesterday, and they wanted a tenner for a controller, pretty sure it was unofficial as well! they quoted me a tenner for a controller and memory card, will have to have a look in gamestation next time i'm close.
