  I have a HP Pavilion DM4 1150ea for sale. It's an ace 14" laptop with fingerprint recognition to securely enter or you can use the standard password setting.
  
  Laptop has intel i5 core processor.
  
  Comet still selling for £599.
  
  Still has a few months of warranty
  
  Would sell for £290 inc postage.

  Hmm.. from my experience, Acer should be avoided - had a warranty claim with them and pulling teeth is easier. Took over 1 year (yes, YEAR) to get it sorted. I'd never touch an Acer again.

  you can easily get an i5 with dedicated graphics from the dell refurb site for the sort of money you want to spend
  my r17 with i5, 6gb, 640gb, 1gb gt525 was £363 del
  
  and its true about acer's poor service, they spent 4 months trying to fix my laptop and then said they couldn't so valued it at about ½ what i had paid 18 months earlier and gave me that as a non negotiable settlement
  

  
  
  I am aware I can get an i5 with dedicated graphics from dell and refurb, but I am not after a dell or a refub. I created this thread for one purpose only to look for an i5 Laptop with at least 1 GB Dedicated Graphics.
  
  Model Preferred: Acer, Asus, Sony Vaio, Samsung. and no alternatives.
