This is a list of all CPUs that should work in the system i have:

http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://aopen.jp/products/baresystem/report/ux661-t.html&ei=qMy2SbquNNzFjAf8vLCgCQ&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=2&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dux661-t%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-GB:official%26hs%3D5n8

I will consider a Celeron but obviously prefer a higher Pentium!

Will buy but also can trade with whats on my other thread:
http://hotukdeals.com/item/353963/awoodhall2003s-sale-360-games-dvds-/showthread.php?t=353963

EDIT: Also i just noticed i have some ram that is PC3200 how do i know if its DDR1 or 2? and how do i check what ram the motherboard takes?

Also as long as i get a CPU and test what i already have i might look to get:
DVD-RW
AGP Graphics Card
RAM

Cheers, just done that and it says:
"Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot."
So thus DDR1 id assume, however i have two sticks of PC4200 so how do i know if this is DDR1 or 2? as i believe this speed is used in both DDR1 and 2!?

if it was ddr2, then the pc4200 would read: pc2-4200, im not 100% sure tho, ask someone else to make sure aswell,

you interested in the 1gb ddr1 pc3200??

awoodhall, you gonna give me some credit for the info, or what ever you give to get the orange dots? lol

the kingston one when entering the code in google reads pc2-4200 so gather it is. no use them.
yeah might be but would need to secure a CPU first, and must admit i dont know prices of older ram, but £12 seems a tad high as im guessing lots of people have this just sat around. (i still have SD ram sat about!)

anything above pc3500 is ddr2.. (aka pc2 4200 is the lowest ddr2 speed)

hehe - rep tart :p

on ebay they go for about £15 or over, but mine is branded, which is better, some ebayers sell cheaper ram which won't work on all computers, these are called high density ram, mine is low density (low density is better)

yeah well seems its been confirmed i dont have any ram to test it with! could be fun testing it with no ram! or the wrong ram anyways!
its a beauty of a case though and thus think it deserves to be built!

however must admit thinking of seeing if i can get a newer mobo to fit it and then get newer components of even transfer my current pc into it but not sure if thats possible.

well nevertheless i need to secure a CPU first, and niallmoran is the best offer yet, but as said id prefer a P4 prescott to give it as much juice as possible!

hi,

you don't seem to have any 5.25"(cd drive) or 3.5"(floppy drive) blanking bay covers, i need them in black?

how much for the ati 9250 agp card? have you got a picture?

thanks
#31
awoodhall, i don't know if you would be interested in a:

Gigabyte motherboard(will get the model for you later)
Pentium 4 3ghz HT (800fsb) processor (heatsink & fan)
1 gb of DDR400 ram

they are all compatible with each other and working.

also have a 40 gigabyte harddrive

i have them installed in a black case (with the cd and floppy drive blanking plates missing)

if you are interested in anything let me know

Perhaps, dependent on price, not really after mobo as its going into a cube form PC so i doubt your mobo will fit. Wouldnt be interested in the HDD unless its cheap as ill put a fair size SATA drive in tbh.
But let me know

Cool ill try and weigh up the odds today of buying older parts of trying to get a newer mobo for it so it can handle HD stuff.

Ok no prob’s just let me know if you want it cheers

the mobo is a micro atx, sorry, i don't know if it will fit, anyway, the processor is socket478 if your interested, i was actually looking to sell as a working bundle, i think your mobo is socket 775 anyway?

for hdd i would want £10 delivered, im not sure how much its worth, but postage will be high and if offered anything less i might aswell add it as another drive in my pc.

make me an offer on the cpu, again not sure how much i want.

Trouble with blanking plates is they are case specific lots of different types of fittings
(long short fat thin) can be a right pain finding ones to fit properly.
Good luck
#37
damn, are they not specific on standard atx cases?
#38
onlyme - you got any black ide floppy or dvd drives

yeah your CPU is 478 and mine is 775 so no use on its own and cube form pc doesnt take standard matx boards wish it did i could just move my current pc into it!
yeah id leave the HDD (problem is postage in on drive).

Cheers though!
