I have been searching all over the place to try and find some earphones to replace my recently deceased Ultimate Ears which will take a lot of beating

Ideally i would like them to be brand new but as long as they are clean and well packaged I will consider anything....

I have a price in mind a maximum of £40 inc p+p, i can increase if the right phones come along lol...

Ideally i want some CX500 in black but cant find them anywhere on internet anymore :(

Oh i forgot to add that they need to be Iphone/ipod compatible

I bought Skullcandy Full Metal Jackets and I love them.

They do do one without the mic in them too.

As petty as it sounds im put off because they are white, and i know a few people that have been mugged for wearing white earphones as criminals see them and instantly think Ipod.... I have a Iphone so i dont want to stick out too much...

Thanks for helping anyways, rep left

Got a few sets of brand new, sealed headphones i could offer mate.

1) Orange Gumy one's, which are iPod/iPhone compatible (actual wire orange too)

2) Sony Clear Sound one's, pink, which is white cable, but ear piece pink.

3) As above, Sony Clear Sound ones, this time blue.

Have a couple of pairs of each, so would sell for £6 each, else 2 packs for £10.

Cheers.

ummm to be honest if i was to just spend the money on one pair id probably opt for the cheaper now tbh. But the 500s seem to have more bass response, but somethings its too much...and i like my bass! Also sometimes they seem to cause suction in the ear drum which i never found with the 300s as much and thus a little more uncomfortable to wear.

But i only really use headphones when down the gym, and hardly ever just down the street...and my 500s are white

Sorry no disrespect to Sony as they have made some cracking earphones in the past, one of my favourites were the fontopias they used to do, but i've been put off Sonys since i got a pair of earphones that went in at a funny angle and caused no end of earaches etc.

Cant remember what they were mind you, came free with a Sony MP3 player iirc...

Im sure they have changed now and I have been tempted by a few sonys such as the ones on here for £10 but i think im going to hold fire on the hope that Play get the black CX500s back in stock

CX500 are pretty good buy. The sound is clearner generally, bass less muddy. Though its got a cable shaped like Y, where as CX 300 had over the neck design.

Hello Strobey.

Which headphones did you go for in the end?
I've gone for CX500 (ugly white ones, but there is a credit crunch) and will report back when they arrive.
