WTD: Router (non-cable) (recommendations too?) £40.00

Hi all,

I'm after a new router. The O2 Wireless Box II whenever rebooted seems to somehow switch the settings (without appearing to do so) so the Xbox get's a strict NAT again... After re-forwarding and unforwarding multiple times, and rebooting, it finally sorts itself out somehow... Nightmware.

It's a piece of poo generally.

I'm ideally after a Linksys, my Dad has a WRT54GS or something, but I need a router for non-cable... It's a brill router though, so i'd like to stick with a Linksys.

Let me know what you have or recommend please.

Up to £30 or so.

Matt

No longer AS interested in N... Only if I can get a Linksys N at £35 or so.

G will do, only got the Xbox on N!

I have this for sale.
Netgear DG834G
Only replaced it for the Netgear N version. Boxed like new.

I also tried an O2 Wireless II for a few days and had problems with it too!

I'll consider that, thanks.

Ideally folks i'd like a Linksys, preferably N rated, cause I have the new Xbox Slim with the N wireless :)
#3
No problem. There were some good N deals on play recently. Worth a look, I guess, if you haven't already tried.
#4
did you try upgrading the firmware? as ive read that a firmware upgrade may have fixed this.
#5
No I haven't - I will do when home. Thanks alot :)

Still interested in changing it too though, so offers please folks :)

I've got a Netgear DG834G, pretty much regarded as one of the best home routers. I worked for a small IT support company and we put these everywhere we went.

Brand new, boxed, Version 5 (latest one)

£20 delivered.

To be honest, with only the Xbox on N, i'll probably wait before I buy N.

Wireless G will do :)

Baconsandwich, cheers, I'm very interested. I'll get back to you if INB1994's sells.
