hmmm try this from an earlier post..

This will unlock it

BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE UNLOCKING
This will also bring the phone to default settings
1. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# (star 2767 star 2878 hash)
turn off the phone
2. take out the battery and sim and put wrong network SIM and insert a half of it,
so it won't ask for network password and shows "Insert SIM" message.
Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on .(phone shows "Insert SIM" message.)
3.With out turning off the phone push the sim fully in. At this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"
4. Make a FULL reset by typing: *2767*3855#(star 2767 star 3855 hash)
5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.
6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
(star 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros star 8zeros hash)
7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000#
(hash 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros hash)
Phone is unlocked (check with *#7465625#)

You know this would have only cost you about £5 from most decent phoneshops who have the correct professional equipment...

Your IMEI has been corrupted, you will need an application to restore the IMEI, not sure if there is anything out there that is free however it is built into most the pro software like nspro... a clip wont be able to do this for you... There was an application which used to be released for free called WinIMEI this used to work on the older samsungs, however they used to make a new one for each new handset, I dont know if there is one for the U600, but try searching for U600 WinIMEI. I dont know if the program you have already tried has the function built in as its showing as a virus for me on AVG so I cant use it...

Send the Samsung to the following address, dont need the sim or memory cards, just the handset. Just pay for the postage and i'll sort it out for you. Or take it to any half decent phone shop and they can repair and unlock it properly for you...

Just a couple of q's before I borrow it....

I take it it's only a small item how much would postage be for me to either pass it on or return it back to yourself & do we need to send it recorded as I would hate it to get lost in the post!

I do appreciate you lending it out but just want to clarify the above before I borrow it.

Its quite tiny, less than an inch long,a bit fatter though than ordinary letter post allows,so although it may (& probably would) slip through the system by letter rate, there is the possibility the receiver may be hit for the excess, the correct postage for it would be large letter rate of 52 p 1st class or 42p 2nd class,

No need to send by recorded, despite the rumours royalmail do a great job and it's extremely rare for an item to be genuinely 'lost in the post'

Just send it ordinary post,it's most unlikely it would get lost

Yes,really straight forward, just insert it where the charger normally fits, phone will sort of freeze then restart, then just remove clip and thats it done

Did it unlock and accept the 'wrong' simcard, but then once it was switched off and on again it was back to being locked?

If this is the case you just need a few extra codes inputed to make it permanently unlocked
#34
Type *#7465625# and check if the 3rd lock down the list (SP Lock) is still showing as active whilst the others are all showing as inactive
#35
grabbit, i received the clip today, how do i use it. it has a little square hole on the right hand side.????

I'm not sure what hole you are meaning? But anyhow, just power on the phone and insert the clip where you normally put your charger in and wait for a few minutes till it unlocks and reboots then remove it

Redo the unlock instructions as you did before,

Then add the codes below (don't power off)

reactivate network lock, *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#.

Deactivate the sp lock , *7465625*77*00000000*00000000#,

enter #7465625*77*00000000# (to disable the sp lock).

Then disable the network lock #7465625*638*00000000# and
the phone is finally unlocked permanently
