I am after a 5.1 set up, either an all in one setup, or an amp etc.

I love the sony dav550, anything like that would be great.

Cash generator have an acoustic solutions 5.1 for £49.99 and its really powerful and the rear speakers have silver stands to mount them on
they also have an optical input for plazmas and lcd so no delay in sound
I was interested so they set it up instore and the bass was really powerful

thnks for the reply Mr Bond - not sure if I fancy any Accoutstic Solutions - I dont know too much about them as a brand, so not sure where they sit in the scale of quality...thanks for the suggestion though!

awoodhall2003 - not limiting myself to anything really - I want the right bit of kit for the right price really....

Current setup consists of 40" S series Bravia 2 from Sony, Onkyo 405 DVD player and Toshiba HD-E1 HD Player - so something to compliment that i hope!

So your a person who appreciates quality i can see that. I currently have Technics SA-DA8 (£40) + Acoustic Energy-2x floorstanders, 2xstandmounts and centre (£50) + Harmony 525 (£30).

Needed the remote as amp came with no remote. But these were although second hand buys they are very good, so you might be able to get something very good second hand.

OR

Sony STRK880 - £150

Onkyo SKSHT518 Black - £170

Which will give you a great amp and some pretty good speakers.

I have a creative inspire 5300 5.1 (I think that's correct) sound system.

You can have it for £10 if you collect (West London).

Thanks for the info mate - was looking at the Sony amp before I must admit - there is a similar one on Play.com in black for a decent price....not sure about the whole speaker thing though...

like you, I dont mind getting some gear second hand, as long as it was loved - hence my trip to this very forum. Dont often see much AV gear on here really though...

Sony Recievers/Amps are good.
Well take a walk over to AVForums, lots of equipment on there, fairly priced usually and some bargains to be had! take mine for example!

Yes, but you can plug it into anything with analogue signal outputs (stereo or phono, phono needs adapter).
