hello as stated im in need of a internet wireless adaptor for my laptop not sure what i need but i have a netgear modem and need an adaptor so i dont need wires from modem to laptop cheap as possible anyone got one

Sorry I am confused, do you have a wireless card in laptop and a router for the internet? or do you want to buy a wireless network card for laptop.

I got an linskys wireless-G USB network adapter with speed booster

Pm if intrested looking for £17 delivered.
It is virtually unused and comes with evrything you need to set up

Not an usb one but I have a Belkin Wireless G notebook network card which I can sell for £12 brand new never been used.

ok thanks for the offers to make it clear i have a laptop and need a plug in wireless adaptor to go in the laptop to pick up signal from the modem hope this is clear if anyone can give me a price on what they normally cost as i dont have a clue

i dont have a card in comp as far as i know its just an adaptor that plugs on outside to pick up signal i wouldnt know how to fit an internal one sorry to be really dumb but well i am lol

Thats what I have its a network card, it should have a slot on side of laptop which is a couple of centimeters wide, normally on opposite site where the DVD drive is.

it just goes in and has a built in aerial and is unnoticable as it slots in the gap made for it.

you need a router to connect to your modem then broadcast the signal to your adapter. This depends on wether you are Cable or adsl so you have to be more specific.
I have cable linked to a wireless router to broadcast to two towers a printer and one laptop each of which have adapters to receive the signal.
try googling "wireless network" and you will find some article to explain
