WTD: Xbox with XBMC and large HDD

Long story short, the hdd of my Xbox died this week and went to silicon heaven!
Looking to buy a replacement XBox but must meet the following:

Must be soft modded with XBMC
Must be black
Must have a large hdd, i.e. 250Gb >
Must have controllers (my controller has stopped working too!)

Any offers?

I have seen similar deals posted here and selling for around the £40ish mark so I am guaing the same price bracket, but final price will vary depending on the individual offer itself.

Will pay by PayPal. I have 100% feedback on ebay. My username is reddwarfiscool

Cheers

Any particular reason for it needing to be soft modded? :)

I have all of above, with 120Gb HD, but I would be looking for about £70, not £40...

Mainly, I use a soft-modded Xbox as a media centre.
The kids watch their films on it (Toy Story is the current favourite) and the wife loves to watch slideshows of the kids photos and the kids videos. It is really not used for games so am not bothered about buying games.

Rehydrated: Read this post. Sold for £54 and a bigger hd than yours.

Ah ok! A hard modded console will work just as well as a soft modded one and is much easier to fix should you do something wrong such as updating xbmc  Prices for soft modded/hard modded consoles are fairly similar too :)

Never considered the hard-modded option (I take it you mean soldered chip, etc).
If an offer comes through with this, ie the same as in the link I provided earlier, all well and good. Still, must have a large hdd.

Going to bump this up!
Anyone out there wanting to part with a Xbox, either hard or soft modded. Must be black and must have large hdd and must have controllers. I am willing to pay up to £50 for one but the final price will obviously depend on the contents of the actual offer.

You could always make or buy an eeprom reader (under a tenner on fleabay right now) and replace your hard-drive with the size of your choice.

Swing: Had considered this method and looked into it but the fact that the soft-mod is all done will save me the hassle as I don't have easy access to a pc with ide ports. I also need a controller which is another reason to buy 2nd hand. Also, I wouldn't mind having a spare box just in case ;-)

Folks,
This thread has turned out to be quiter than I had expected!
Bumping up again...anyone selling a original black Xbox with a large hdd and controllers?

Executer 2 with 13 Gb hard drive. Switch on side to turn off chip.

As its hard modded, putting in a larger IDE hard drive (of whatever size you want) is a 5 minute job.

One OEM controller and all leads.

£43 inc.

Hmmm, it's an option - not ideal as was wanting a large hdd with the deal to save me the hassle etc. I'll wait on other offers first.
Thanks

I could do one for you if you wanted. Don't possess any but I could get you one sorted...

It'd be £20 fior the xbox... + £20/30 for hdd (dependent on how big you want it) and then another £10 for courier.

Tanks for the interest/offer timothyw9. Rep added.
Tbh, due to lack of interest (which has surprised me!), I might build one myself.
Will give this thread a few more days then will make a decision.

im afraid £40+postage is the lowest i can go to, will chuck in a few games too, but thats the going rate for these atm  but if you can find a cheaper postage alternative i dont mind :)

Ok, the chip def holds the price ;-)
Not totally au fait with chipped Xboxes - only ever known soft mod - tell me, is the chip soldered on, i.e can I use it with other Xboxes?
Also, what game are you chucking in - are they originals?
Any pictures?
