WTD Your left over travel money - US Dollars

Firstly - I hope I'm allowed to ask this - if not then I'm sure mods will be quick to delete. I couldn't find it anywhere in the rules so I'm hoping it's ok!

I'm looking to buy any left over US dollars that you have lying around after your travels.
I'm going to Vegas for NYE, and having been last year I know it's handy to have some cash before you go. Most the money I'm taking is going to be on the pre-paid $ mastercard someone posted in another thread. I figured if I buy your left over money, we both gain from it - I get some small change to use as tips, you get some £'s back. I know many places offer to change money back after your holiday, but you'd be doing me a favour and I'll pay the actual exchange rate, rather than the rubbish deal you get elsewhere. Also, I know a lot of us don't bother changing money back if it's a small amount.. No amount too small for me! (unless it's less than the postage! - that's just being silly)

Tell me how many $ you have and what £ you'd like!

I will pay by bank transfer from a First Direct (HSBC) account, and if you have positive feedback then I don't expect you to post until you receive the money. Otherwise I'm around Kingston area if you want to swap face to face!
I also have Paypal but it probably wouldn't be worth to pay you that way because of the fees (I'm expecting left over money will be in small amounts here)

Don't be shy - all genuine offers considered. I'm too skint to get a large wedge of money
changed over, and this way I can 'collect' some $ in drips and drabs over the next 4 months!
Shipping/Payment:
I'll add 50p for postage, and expect that you will post cash between 2 bits of card (stick the coins to the card also) If you are happier to send signed, I'll pay £1.

I think it's allowed btw. I was asking for leftover Moroccan Dirhams before and it was allowed to run (in fact I'm always looking for more as we go there a couple of times a year). Sorry have no USD to pass on, but good luck!

Thanks for letting me know.. being a new user I didn't want to be banned before I started!
Did you manage to get any offers?

Good idea with the dollar rate dropping as people sometimes bring some cash back, off to Vegas on Sunday for 2 weeks but glad I got most of my money when it was 1.92 the end of last month

I did end up getting Dirhams from 3 different people but one from another forum and two from ebay I think. I don't think I had any luck here. But I'm sure there will be plenty more people with USD than Moroccan Dirhams!

Might be best to state what rate you will pay. You don't have to, but may generate some interest.

Also, what if it goes missing in the post?

Thanks for the tip..
I said I'd pay the actual exchange rate.. I'll accept any $'s between now and Xmas, so I can't state an exact rate cos it changes so much!

I'll have to take my chance on the missing in post - the amounts (if any!) are likely to be so small it's not worth sending registered. I did say that if the seller wanted to send recorded then i'd pay £1 for postage. I'm trusting that people on here are honest enough to actually send, so will take my chances on Royal Mail.
