Can you be more specific, is it a premium or a core, does it include a control pad etc?
#3
ok sorry its just a core model with no leads no hard drive no controller it actually just comes with a hd av cable
#4
Is this the one you bought off ebay for £45 and fixed the red light problem on...
#5
wow how did u know that lol i supose i must of rote that somewher?? mayb lol
#6
If so how did you get it repaired?
#7
You underestimate the power of the HUKD community young padawan...
#8
ahhhh if ne1 wants to pm me then i mite just tell them the very very surprising little secret on how to repair them
#9
what covering it with a towel? lol
#10
lol seriously did i post that on another thread
#11
lmao mayb mayb not lol
#12
not a good start to selling or trading something, why be so secretive..

I can only assume you did the towel trick which is only a short term solution,
the same fault will eventually re appear after a lengthy gaming session.

So essentially this is still a faulty unit but working at the moment.
#13
lol yer i did do well i thought it had sorted it commpletley well ii mite as delete the ad completeley because im not gona get a swap am i really? lol and with the secrisy bit i was only messin about wid the mayb not lol
#14
you seem decent enough as a person, but I wouldn't try to sell stuff like that here, go play with ebay if you must try and pass on brokenish goods!
#15
If you listed it on ebay you will get more than your money back, probably get as much as £60 if sold as a faulty unit.
#16
lol cheers m8, actually thinking about i probably shouldnt even do that cus my dad would only moan at im if i ruined his feedback score if they didnt like it lol
#17
yer could do or mayb i could keep it lol because iv got to tht are prob goin to suffer frm tht problem (one which i bort for 1 fiver of a m8 haha) and then il b safe frm one breaking fully lol hopefully
#18
There is a big enough call for faulty units, just clearly state its faulty
and suitable for repair or spares.

You will be suprised how many ppl will want it:)
#19
yer mite be worht lookin into
#20

#21

The towel trick isnt perminant.. so ive read, you really need to take it apart and fiddle about with the heatsink etc (so ive read)
#24
the towel trick worked for me but only for a day it will deffinetly come back up again. selling my broken one on ebay aswell got a new one now it sucks that microsoft want money to repair something they sold me in the first place Bunch of thieving assholes if you ask me
#25
The original premiums and core's are like a ticking time bomb to Microsoft
they all at some point or other are likely to fall victim to the 3 lights error
which is caused by weakened connections between the cpu and the gpu.

Every time the console is turned on and off for prolonged periods the motherboard expands and warps due to tempreture, creating weakened joints.

Believe me if they were to stand up and take full responsibility they would be financially screwed as this is such a common problem.

However new elite consoles address the problem and should be more reliable given they have smothered the cpu and the gpu in epoxy, to hold everything nice and tight:)

Really? I thought there was still reported red lights appearing already?
