I managed to get together all of the kit required to softmod my recently acquired £19.99 XBOX from Game. As I have done the softmod (working well!) I have no need for all the stuff which is for sale as follows:

Splinter Cell game (bought from ebay - required to install Linux for Softmod)

16MB Explorer Memory Card with USB lead to connect to computer for transferring files (imported brand new from Germany)

All required software on CDs and DVDs including Action Replay software (for memory card), softmod files (work with Splinter Cell), emulators for consoles such as N64, MAME, Megadrive, SNES, NES, C64, Neo Geo, Gameboy, Master System and many more, ROMS for the emulators including hundreds for NES, Megadrive, SNES, NeoGeo and MAME. Other software includes XBMC, utilities to backup XBOX games, DVDs etc. and loads more besides - pretty much everything available.

All you need to add is the XBOX - getting all fo this stuff together (especially the software) would literally take you days! I thought I would recoup some of my costs and help someone out so the whole kit is for sale - best part about it is that you can use it and then sell it all on again!!!
Shipping/Payment:
£30 delivered 1st class recorded, payment through PayPal. Not for sale anyway else. Cheers!!!

Can I suggest you self report this post and then repost it WITHOUT the bit about the ROMS to stay within the boards rules on pirated material. Just advertise the Emu's (I assume the disk is AID4). Also £15 would be pushing it imho ;-)

Was not aware they were pirated. They were not from a torrent website (do not use them) but from a website which stated all the ROMs were from obsolete systems so should be legal... please can a moderator edit if this is a problem.
Regarding price well the bits cost me £20 or so. Add postage, cost of the CDs/DVDs for the software, PayPal costs and the massive amount of time to get all the stuff (which I have done) and I think it is a fair price and means I am not making a profit just getting a bit of my money back (not time though!)...

As you do not own the copyright on the roms they are not yours and therefore it is illegal for you to pass or sell them on, regardless of what the website you got them from says.

And just as a heads up, these softmod kits go on here for less than £15 delivered so you may have a little trouble selling it here unless you drop your price a little.

Good luck with the ale though.

I personally just do Krayzie's ndure hotswap mod - its free and slong as your ok with computers Its quicker and easier

Cant believe you expect people to pay for opensource software. You cannot sell AID software, since the creator made it free for all.

I am not expecting people to pay for the software! I am throwing it in as a help! The memory card cost me £15 from ebay (brand new), Splinter Cell was just under £5, postage will cost maybe £2.50 for recorded delivery, PayPal costs probably £2, cost of CDs/DVDs £2. TOTAL £26.50. Plus I paid £4 for a rapidshare account to download all the software etc. This is where the £30 comes from - as I said NO PROFIT at all!!!! Plus you can sell it on again... anyway always open to offers...

Cheers everyone - what a lovely community we have here! If you want people to spend approx 30 hours+ finding and downloading all the software (approx 10GB in total and probably 5000 seperate files) this is the way to do it!
My package is all as new, ready to use and everything you need is there. Maybe not the cheapest as shown above but depends how much your time is worth really...

30hours finding and downloading? First of all, you dont have to watch stand around and watch the downloading, so that time doesnt count. Secondly, the link I gave has the main xbox homebrew database. Itd take you the best part of 2 minutes find anything. Its funny how you mention 5000 separate files. Its as of you downloaded them 1 by 1.

It took me 5 minutes to find the AID installation. Downloaded that overnight. Burned a DVD with the programs i wanted which took 20 mins max. Softmodded my xbox in another 30 mins. Installed xbmc and emulators which took another 20 mins max. You may say, what about the ROMs? Well go on any popular bittorrent search engine. Type in N64 Roms, and prepare to be surprised. I just did it now, and the first torrent and 468 n64 roms in one download. If you want a specific ROM simply search for it on any bittorrent search engine.

And yes i agree, we do have a lovely community here.

If your price was sub £20 i wouldnt have even entered this thread.

Good luck on ebay though. People are selling xbmc complete with an xbox for £50 delivered.

This doesn't seem like too bad a deal to me, certainly not for all the ragging it's got. If I was after an easy upgrade and the seller took £20, i'd be happy with this- especially the saving time bit.
OP please note the majority (Sheng, SimonG) of posts here are being helpful...

SOLD
Ghost - as I said I don't do torrents and lots of other people do not either so sadly not an option and yes it did take lots of searching to get all the files together! Also I have not sold for the full £30 and never said I would not consider offers! As you know if you ask for £20 you get £15 so I asked for £30 and have got £22.50. Thread closed.
