XDA iQ SmartPhone w/ WiFi/Skype/Windows Mobile 5 - Brand New - Unlocked - For Sale

Hello all,

I have a brand new O2 XDA iQ i got as upgrade on my O2 contract.

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/873/xdaiqxt1.jpg

I only got delivery on friday late afternoon and opened the box to check that the phone works. I have also unlocked the phone so it can be used on any network worldwide.

It runs Windows Mobile 5 and has a camera, bluetooth, infrared and Wireless Internet (WiFi). You have all the connectivity you'll ever need!!

You can find more information here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=3020http://www.trustedreviews.com/article.aspx?art=3020

In the review it sais skype is only available for text instant messaging but I have installed the latest pocket pc version and it installs and makes free voice calls with no hacks or problems. A rather good way to reduce your phone bill me thinks :)

This is an excellent phone, built quality feels good and it is way faster than my old SPV C500. The only reason i want to sell it is because my heart is set on Nokia E61 and O2 did not have it available when i upgraded last week (even though it is available on bussinessshop.o2.co.uk GRRRRR)

Included in the box are: USB cable for connection to pc
Wall charger
Carrying case
Wired headphones with microphone
2 CDs with software
Manual and warranty card
and of course
Phone with battery

My ebay feedback is: Feedback Score: 123
Positive Feedback: 100%
Members who left a positive: 123
Members who left a negative: 0
All positive feedback received: 150

I live in Derby (DE1) and i can accept cash on collection or paypal
I think about £150 is a sensible price for this extraordinary handset

Edit:
I will also throw in a 2GB mini SD card

Thanks,
Antonis

is it too high of a price? nobody even made a comment on it

Sorry BadAngel, the above notice is put into all For Sale or Trade threads. It's to make buyers and sellers aware of what they need to be sure of, before going through with any trade or sale.

It seems a good price compared to prices elsewhere.

How ever, most people who are getting smartphones often go for Contracts, as they can get the expensive handsets for free, and also unlimited GPRS data packages for a reasonable amount per month. Wifi is a great addition, but battery dies so quickly with it, so GPRS is used more. GPRS prices are extortionate!

I think its worth every penny, but you have to rememeber that for that kind of money, you are moving into N73 territory..I'm not saying that the N73 is any better - just more attractive to phone buffs...

Looking through ebay, there are a few XDA's for sale, but not many bidders..Pound for pound and excellent phone, but maybe for a niche market..
To make it more attractive, i'd personally install some navigation software on a 1GB card then re-advertise accordingly..You could do all that for less than £20..
Just my humble opinion...
#6
i could offer it for 190gbp including a 512mb mini sd..

as for navigational software...it would be easier for whoever buys it to get it themselves from the usual places...

the battery is really good with moderate wifi use (a friend has had the same phone for 3 months now)

any offers?

Hi I am interested in this but with chrimbo getting closer not too many spare ££££££ what is the lowest you could go
#8
i could go 180gbp without the 512 mini sd card..i could also throw in 10-15 o2 payg sim cards that you could sell on for at leat 1gbp each

antonis
#9
would u sell the sd card seperate then
#10
lets stick to the xda please.. i would give the mini sd if it would help to seal the deal for the phone..otherwise its not worth selling

What is your EBay ID? I'd be interested in the whole deal.

Cheers, Dio

The N73 is not for phone buffs. N73 is for Fasion Phone Buffs.

Phone Buffs are those who take functionality and customiseability over 'what's hot right now'
#13
my girlfriend has the n73... its a nice phone and all... but i am the kind of guy that prefers his phone with as many features as possible and without a camera

if nokia could give me my old 6510 with bluetooth..i would stick to that for ever :P

btw n73 doesnt have wifi and it feels bigger and heavier than the iQ

Yeah but how good is WiFi on a tiny screen like this phone has?

You really need a PDA for WiFi, phones just don't cut it for a proper web experience, that's my number one priority with phones/PDAs - Screen size
#17
actually i was very impressed... the screen and resolution are very good (with pocket internet explorer) ..i didnt install netfront or opera (because i really want to sell it unused) but once the buyer installs them they should be more amazed.

(i am comparing with a dell x30h and palm tx i used to own - the screen is absolutely gorgeous and its the perfect size for a phone.. )

You can use WiFi on your phone not just for web but also for VoIP and audio streaming (Internet radio, for example).

Is it still for sale?
#20

Will a bluetooth GPS device, combined with relevant TomTom software on the phone, enable this phone to be used as a Sat Nav device?

If so, I'll give you £130 through Paypal tonight. I shall also show you my ebay account.

Regards,

Dave.

Edit - Didn't realise how old this thread is.... ah well, there may be a chance..
