I have for sale a gift card for use at Zavvi stores to the value of £180.00. I was going to use it to purchase a Wii but decided to purchase a friends instead as it came with some games

This can be used against anything in store and doesn't expire for two years, if you only use partial value the remainder is refunded onto a gift card.

Any questions let me know

Hi, do you have any feedback elsehwere, ie ebay? As you area newish member with few posts and no feedback here some may feel wary.

Also do you have any pictures of the gift card with the value showing?

Sorry I need to achieve more than £145, i'm going to list a few more items shortly, if you are intersted in any of them I would obviously consider any offers.

Hi yep it's a credit card type gift card, not sure if you can check the balance online however I have picture of the receipt I can e-mail you if you wish, the amount is not stamped on the gift card like it is with say Argos but that's because you can use the amount as you see fit, they simply discount the amount you spend form the card.

I had to return my Wii today as it was faulty, they had no more in stock so they gave me the gift card to get one next week but since spoke to a friend who was selling his with several games my son wanted, he owed me one.

Hi. I am interested in this too. I am planning to go to Zavvi next weekend to buy a ps3, GT5 and any game deal for £325 and pay for it with my virgin credit card (10%off). Do you think they will take the credit card 10% off first and then i can pay the balance with gift card/credit card? Or would i only get the 10% off on the balance (about 150 quid) after i potentially used this gift card? Thanks

Sorry to hi-jack.
They would take the gift card off first, and then minue the 10% off the remaining balance to pay.
#23
No they wouldn't, discounts always come first.

Really? Have you had experience of this scenaro? I just assumed they would ring it all up on the till and tell me "thats £325 to pay please" and i would say "i am going to pay with my virgin cc" and then they would knock 10% off. Then i would pay with gift card/cc combination. Thanks

I'm not sure, I can ask the question tomorrow,in my experience a gift card/voucher would be classed as a form of payment, the 10% we get is achieved simply by owning and paying with a Zavvi credit card but then my experience is of £10 not £180.

They would do it like you have just said.

The gift card is treated as cash, as in effect that is what it is - just has obviously to be used at zavvi/virgin.

If the Wii was faulty you should have been entitled to a full refund, not an exchange - the giftcard?

At the time I was going to get another one from a different branch but in the meantime managed to purchase one from a friend at a very good price

Having read the rules and wishing to comply with them now we have nearly concluded a deal, this post acts as confirmation on my offer of £150.
